Very nice little park next to the national Arboretum. They offer some walking trails through the Lily ponds and the marshes which also connects to the Anacostia river trail. I just wish I was really able to see this place when everything is blooming. As an out of Towner I will say I will definitely find myself back at this place hopefully during the peak Bloom.

A charming little corner that many visitors miss, a free and charming place located just minutes from Washington that shows the preservation of aquatic plants. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the place is not crowded

Such a lovely little oasis packed with aquatic flowers and critters. A short walk and not busy at all.

Yes! It's a great place for a picnic. There are tables around the gardens
It's free; parking is easy; it's great!
It's really a nice place to visit and take in a lot of nature!
Generally the gates are opened up by maintenance at around 8 a.m. There is also access in another way via the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail which never really closes.
They do have guided walks mon-fri @10am, 1:30 and 2:30 sat-sun 10, 11, 1:30, 2:30
No. Once a year there's a festival where food trucks are available, but it's just snacks mostly. You can bring your own food, but the park closes at 4pm.
You have to walk on the KAG property but there is a walking path that leads to the bike trail and other trails that lead to MD and parts of DC. There are signs
Yes. Lotus and waterlilies are still in bloom.. Go early to avoid crowds.

No, this is a National Park so fishing is not allowed in the historic ponds or marsh.
If you love nature, you should know flowers open in the morning and actually go to sleep in the evening.
