Not all Spinal surgery is the same. Some times spinal surgery is performed by a Orthopedic surgeon, some times by a Neurosurgeon. UF Health is well known for both departments.
Well that's a loaded question because everyone, if not almost everyone will have a different response or answer. It's best to call Shands at UF OR North Florida Regional. There's nothing wrong with getting 2nd and sometimes 3rd opinions. I prefer Shands at UF, but NFR may serve you better. Good luck
I had brain surgery for grade 3 annaplastic astrocytoma, im not sure if he does spinal surgery. But Dr. Friedman and Dr. Tittsworth are by far the best NueroSurgeons in my book hands down. The whole Nuero staff at shands is amazing. I went to Moffitt to because i had to find a brain surgeon, there wasn't one where i live in Sebring. I honestly believe i would be dead today had i decided to stay there and do my surgery. You will be in good hands at Shands, God bless. Danny Bryson
