Is it possible to get to the the trail during January? I'm unable to find anything regarding road conditions and if it's closed.

As long as the road isn't covered with snow you'll have access to it year round.

Deja Smasht, If you have a 4 wheek drive, you may get up there. Visibikity will be be VERY BAD, roads will be snow packed with long patches of black ice. The foot path itself will be covered with deep snow and its easy to get lost up there. NO CELL PHONE SERVICE AVAILABILITY UP THERE. Jean.
