The trail head can't be accessed in the winter months by vehicle, snowmobile or hike in. The bottom side of the trail can be accessed via south fork trail of the Walla Walla River. I believe the bridge across the river to burnt cabin trail is closed, due to the river washing out the base of the bridge. In the spring-fall months there is a parking fee at the trailhead.
