The most fascinating fact about Sequoias for me is that they live for thousands of years. On the West Coast of the United States, the coastal redwoods in Northern California can live more than 2,000 years. Giant sequoias in central California routinely reach over 3,000 years in age. The oldest living organism in the world – old Methuselah, a bristlecone pine tree – has survived for over 4,700 years. What is the secret of their longevity?

This place is incredible. The trees are truly majestic and incredible to behold. Sadly, while you're here, you're frequently reminded that people are terrible. There was plenty of graffiti floating around the trail. You can see several of the trees have been damaged by fire, but most of the trail is still open. There are restrooms at each parking lot. Be prepared to pay the parking fee which was $12 as of summer 2022. It appears as if they're about to replace some of the path to make it more friendly to wheelchairs.

It’s very pretty and the trees are amazing. The biggest problem is that the trail is close after not even 1 mile. You can find an other way but it’s never indicated. The parking is 12 for the day. When you my this price it should be life to know a part is close. The I fixation to go are very clear, but be aware it’s kinda far from everything. If you have kids, it’s a very good place to go

This trail is amazing it’s a must see! So many beautiful sequoia trees. Wow wow wow, I can’t wait to see them again once the parks open back up. The trail is clean and perfect for families & a easy walk for elderly. I absolutely loved it, truly a sight I’ll never forget.

Stay on trails! Don’t trash the place either. Now when I hike there are coffe cups all over the place.
As long as the road isn't covered with snow you'll have access to it year round.
Just wanted to clarify. There is a small parking lot just across the street from the trailhead. It's the Redwood Meadow Campgrounds. I would say 15 spots, some larger then others.
I went in early May, but couldn't take and eastern passes. Had to drive down to California from Bishop and come back around. Depends on the winter.
You do not need reservations to visit the trail of a 100 giants. But the parking area is $10 cash only. There is a campground near there and it requires a reservation. https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/232825
There is also a $10.00 per vehicle fee that goes in the drop box.
You will need to Check the weather and ask a ranger or other park employee.
If Erika in that place you can find tables so you can do a field day there are bathrooms all clean, do not forget the sunscreen and the repellent, you will like the place. Good that you enjoy your walk and many blessings.
