The return process should take barely a minute as return agents are always available and simply scan your car and gives you a receipt. It does take a little longer if there are issues such as damaged car or low fuel (always bring the car back full of fuel as the charges are huge - gas station is on the airport property). So no, there shouldn't be a line but still in peek return, any line is cleared quickly.
No, you pull up & someone will direct you where to go & they'll take the car & close out your rental.
It has been my experience that there is an agent immediately available who will check you in right in the garage...very simple and easy.
