Yes. Cardboard is a "Covered Material" per the Mandatory Recycling Law. This is accepted at no cost at the Fremont Transfer Station. Covered Materials: also known as readily recyclable materials consisting of paper, cardboard and most recyclable bottles and cans. These materials should be separated from the rest of your waste and deposited in the convenient recycling containers located at the facility.

Yes, you can bring cardboard if it's clean. I took some in a couple of years ago and I'm pretty sure they actually paid me a small amount for it
