I had my driving test, I was nervous in the beginning anticipating a strict supervisor. However, Affan (supervisor) was very amiable and he guided me real well throughout the process. He also gave some feedback in the last to improve my driving skills.

Applied for a Real ID online. I noticed the DMV made a typo in my middle name while waiting in a line to take the photo. I was sent back to the window. The window was closed. The lady was on a break. Applied for a new number. Got to another window. The second DMV lady found the first lady and helped to correct the name. One more photo line. Then a green line. The green line lady took some papers and told me I will get the ID in the mail. The total time at the DMV with a prior online appointment was 1.5h.

The supervisor, Sonia, was extremely helpful. She was able to assist me, while helping other as well. She helped me solve me renewal issues very fast and efficiently. Very great service, her friendly personality is essential to the DMV

02/25/2022 I had a very good experience with fremont DMV. Went to get my real ID. I had an appointment. Remember to find out which line is for walk-ins vs with appointments. The representatives outside are very helpful. Fill the application online and get an application number, give it to the representative outside and she gives a token number and You will be let inside to wait till they call on your token. The wait is probably 5-10 min that's all. The entire process is streamlined and I was surprised and happy. Please carry the documents listed on the DMV website, the person outside checks your documents before letting you in. It is super easy to to even book an appointment. I found that appointments are easily available. I suppose even without appointment you can expect it to be faster than in the old DMV days.

Mondays, show up before they open if you want parking.
Yes, as long as it's not already expired
If you have them. Go down. Hour at the longest it's looking..
It was being given when I went in for my Real id 2 weeks back. As the other commenter mentioned use their online services to book an appointment. Otherwise you are in for a long wait
Please check this link & read instructions according to your needs.thanks https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/vehicle-registration/updating-information-on-your-registration/
We went to DMV Express (Quicker Sticker) on Mission Blvd and it was super quick. At DMV, If u dont have an appt (and right now no new apps can happen) they just tell u to go online and do it.
There's a door on the right side of the building (facing from the parking lot) that you use for appointments.
No you can walk in
Start an online application and it generates a code. You go to dmv and show the code. They give you a token, you show all your documents and take the test. That's what i did.
First of all you have to get the forms from BMV and then take them to your doctor to fill out. If approved you can use that placard in any car as long as you are in the car. Good luck
Per covid There consistent changes , check the website
No, they work only with appointments.
Depending on what you need, but for most of the cases it is good/required to have an appointment
No. It's closed for veterans day.
Yes,
You need an photo identity proof, 2 local address proofs. You can fill th application online and submit the documents and make an appointment. Go to DMV as per appointment date and time. Need to carry same documents as you have submitted online. If you are a foreigner, please carry your passport (with valid visa) and i94
In CA, your CDL expires every 4 years. If you have not gotten a moving violation or a DUI, you may qualify for a renewal. Some renewals will require you to go to the DMV and pass the eye exam. Hope this helps.
Go on line and see you can get another one. I heard you can.
Fill the online form, it will generate a code and then you may walk-in. I saw some people in queue, without the online generated code, they were told to do the online form before hand. We had an appointment but had to stand outside on exact same queue as people with no appointments
I believe so, but you should go online to be certain.
Apply on the dmv site with all your documents and you get an appointment. Once you are ready go with all your documents to the dmv with your Appointment print. You should be able to give the test.
I believe your code should still be valid. There is a CAL.DMV app that can answer a lot of questions you may have. Plus it's a free app.
Yes , You can , but you can upload you documents on line first and you will receive a confirmation but you need to have your SSN and Proof of resident with you.
You can walk in as well but there's usually a huge line.
Ur best option is probably to give them The 3 pieces of i d. And get what u need. They make the rules and we just have to comply.
Yes, they are open. I just got my license renewed in person there
They will accept but long line.
No right now - due to covid
Most likely have to go to your DMV office. Or try the web site to see your account
Not sure. Have you try there web site.
Yes and driving
All I can tell you is bring birth certificate, social security card, and proof of residence. Pg&e bill and or insurance card. Hope this helps, good luck!
It was about 45 min for me getting a Real ID done from arriving at DMV to completion.
Not too sure. But, one of my family members got charged double also but for me it was half that. Not sure if it has to do with drivers license type, age, etc. Just a guess, maybe ask up front.
Recommend a appointment
They've got online services. Whatever you need to do for the most part you fill out an online application and then they tell you to visit the DMV once they process your documents you've either scanned or took a picture of.
You don't need an appointment, but you need to fill out the information online and bring the required original documents and confirmation code to show the DMV employee.
U still have to go on-site. Get an appointment
Social security card, us passport or green card, two proofs of residency and two photo IDs
Just go to DMV and apply for a new one. This needs to be in person. I think DMV is open for lost ID application during shelter in place. Make sure he has his ID number handy.
Beside DMV office, you can pay registration online or AAA office.
Yes
Call the police and obtain the police report. Go to DMV with the report to request a new one
Exactly same thing. The law for the DL is the same across whole California
Go in and change the vehicle status to non-operation
Due date and appointment date is not related. Legally speaking you will not be allowed to drive after 9-23, so you need to go to DMV as drop in appointment before that day to ensure you're allowed to drive after the expiration date. Be prepared to wait in long line though
yes
They are open during lunch hour but expect extreme long waits during that hour
You can go on DMV website and make appointment for it. https://www.dmv.ca.gov/wasapp/foa/officeVisit.do
nope
This is fine, just make sure to get a signed paper from the rental company stating that you used your foreign license to rent the car for the test. They typically offer this for free
2 utilities bills
For driving test you have to have a appointment, look up Fremont DMV for more details
Not necessarily, if you directly renew before, you can't directly renew it.
Slow down
Proof of residency, old driver's license, tax return form (w2)
No
advise: make an appointment by calling or online
unless if you eere notified if you have an appointment it should be on
best is to do appointment anyway
no it's like that
It's on the DMV official website
If you have an appointment or a handicapped placard yes that line is very short. Bit if you have no appointment dont bother you most likely will not get serviced that day and have to wait 3 or more hours in line.
OK!
Might be IN wrong section or area OR MUST ASK THAT QUESTION TO RECEPTIONIST
If its expired, I believe you have to apply for a license again
yes or you will wait a very long time
You would to go your nearest DMV offct and fill out a form to request a copy of your car title. The title will be mailed to you.
You can do a Walk in but there is a long wait. I would recommend making an appointment even if you are just taking a test to save you some time. FYI, they don't give out written exams after 4pm or 4:30pm so try take it earlier. Good Luck in advance to your written exam.
Yes but any sticker, plates and titles will be mailed directly to the new owner.
If you do not have an appointment assume it's busy
No queue to pick up brochure. For anything else better make appointment
not since last year
go only with appointment to not waste time
Assume 1 hour there with appointment. They may take few weeks if need to mail it after. But then you get a valid temporary paper document meanwhile.
I was here for six hours last month. I'm currently here on my third hour without even getting a number yet. It's bad.
The dmv is closed on weekends. If you want to renew the registration immediately you can go to nearby dmv kiosk in Safeway and get the registration instantly after payment.
I wont know the exact details since i went for a state id. All i can say is they have a drop in box in which you can drop the form if they allow it. If they tell you , you have to meet them personally then yu have to wait for like 5 hrs minimum. I went there on 8:15 am still i had to wait for 6 hrs. The next appointment available is like 15 days from now. But even after the appointment you still have to wait for 2-3 hrs. The fremont dmv is very slow i saw only half windows out of 18 working. If possible go to san jose dmv. People are saying its much more faster there since it has more windows
yea
No
Well i am in huge trouble we have been here since last December
to ensure if you ever commit a crime they will find you!! Haha. And to make sure it's really you getting the driver license or I'd etc..
yes. I have seen many motorcyclists going for their test
yes but you don't need it.. I'm not clear on your question.
What if they do not want me to have it back that I don't know should I make a new one
