Hi, does anyone know if crossing into the US border by car is faster this early Sunday morning from the Otay border or the San Ysidro border? Is there a huge difference also using the Ready lane or Standard lane at either location? Thank you

You need a passport card for the ready line. The earlier you go the less time it will take to cross. Generally Mesa de Otay is faster. Remember San Ysidero is the busiest port of entries in the world

You got to beat the early morning shoppers, and people coming back to the u.s. before 7 a.m. or earlier I'm talking SY

You do not NEED a passport card for ready lane. If your passport was issued in the last 10 years or so it should have the microchip in it that allows you to cross ready lane.

I will recommend San Ysidro.
