The beach is technically not accessible, but there are a few ways people are climbing down the cliffs. They have recently started a park renovation - and there are some fears that they will block access to the beach entirely. However, currently if you do want to climb down to the beach it is not far from the street parking, maybe 5 minutes.

Depends on where you park. We parked up the hill and could walk down to oversee the cliffs but didn't get to the beach.
