The park is a nice area. During my visits here I honestly didn't see much homeless walking about. There was only that one time last year, in 2021, where my party encountered one who was sort of floating around our area, looking at our stuff. Other than that the park is beautiful. You got plenty of open space and nice breeze blowing. Not to mention the nice view of the water. There's a grass area where you can hang out and grill. There's a small sandy shoreline to enjoy the water. A long path if you're into jogging/running/biking. Also, if you get lucky, you can see Sea World do their fire works at night. Overall I recommend this place for a nice get together and cook if you are looking for a nice spot.

Awesome beach and picnic under tree. Sand and surf clean. Playground for kids and restrooms available. Kite flying wind!! Barbeque allowed.

A great place to ride your bikes or exercise BBQ or just let the kids have fun.

Had a nice picnic and a bonfire to end the evening. Bathrooms are open, if you’re feeling brave. I like the less crowded spots that aren’t so packed, makes finding a pit easier. There’s tables and grills for anyone who wants to cookout. Parking lot is dark so be careful entering and exiting if you’re not too familiar with the area.

During the summer, the park is closed Fridays, Saturdays, and the day prior to a holiday. Other than that you'll need a permit to camp overnight, since there are rules and regulations to follow.
