Coming from CA will be visiting on July 4th is it going to be safe to camp and go in the water

Yes the bay area friends have a home out there on the lake not sure where

You should call ahead of time to check if they have everything open. They have had some areas closed because of flooding.

Camping should be good. Campground looks beautiful but the water is still high. Don't know if any ramps are open yet. The lake levels are still above normal pool. Where are you coming from in CA? We lived in the Bay area

We were there last weekend and almost everything is flooded and closed. I would call the visitors center closer to time and make sure the water has gone down.

There are camping sites and last time I went the weather was nice and the water was amazing. Just wear water shoes because people like to litter :( . But it is a good place for camping and swimming, boating, fishing, and whatever you would like to do. hope this helps :)
