1st time visiting while in the area. Nice place to venture out. Not very large bit has plenty of trails to walk. Picnic area in abundance. You need to bring insect repellent for sure. Great places to cast a fishing line too.

This was a beautiful Florida state park, with a nice campground full of lush plant life and palm trees. Lots of great places to enjoy the outdoors and wildlife within the park. We saw a gopher tortoise borrow near a picnic area. We hope to be back! Follow our full time travel journey through state and national parks on Instagram: @arndts.arent.staying.put

My husband & I love this park! It's many little picnic table spots situated along the Tomoka River, makes it the perfect place to relax & unwind after a long work week. It's a beautiful place to just sit & watch the sun go down. But, as peaceful & relaxing as it is, the one big reason we return again & again is due to the Tomoka Outpost store on the property. The store has everything you need & more for camping plus they have many watercraft rental options. They also have awesome cajun boiled peanuts, snacks, drinks (wine & beer as well) which can be enjoyed on their porch overlooking the water. The couple who owns the outpost are very friendly & accommodating & their dog "Cali" is super adorable! We love the park but the outpost is what keeps us coming back. @tomokaoutpost

Beautiful park - reminds us of something very tropical - and there's a really nice campground, but staff/rangers really leave a lot to be desired. The pros: very pretty park with a lot of space to walk or ride your bikes, plenty of water to put your kayak or canoe in. Very quiet park, not a lot of bright lights interfering with the viewing of some stars at night. Clean bathrooms, that are regularly maintained by camp hosts/volunteers. The cons: The most unfriendly and most unhelpful rangers we've ever met. They don't have friendly or hospitality personable personalities. Have a question? Better off asking a stranger. They'll be more helpful and friendlier. We had a package shipped to the park, with our site number clearly listed, and when we went to claim our package, I was told in the future to make sure to put our site number on there. I had to point out that it was. Perhaps he should have put his glasses on before scolding me. I didn't even get an "I'm sorry, I didn't see that". I just got a beligerant look. There are no paper copies of the trail maps. Ranger told us to take a picture with our phone... There are no designated cleaning times for the restrooms. One day it's 8 am, the next it's 10:30 am. It's always a guessing game! The ceiling fans in the restrooms are on - even on nights when the temperature is below 40 degrees. When we asked about turning the fans off at night because it was cold in the showers, we were told no because the bathrooms wouldn't dry and that moisture harbors germs. Are you kidding me?? There's plenty of ventilation in these restrooms, with screened openings for airflow. (The volunteers use so much bleach to scrub the restrooms that I highly doubt this is an issue!) The family/handicapped accessible restroom shower space in the middle restroom building is awful! There's only 1 hook for your dry items to be hung on while showering, and there's no bench to set your dry clothes, bag or whatever personal items on. You could set it on the floor, but then they'll get wet. Not very well thought out! The laundry facilities are affordable, but there's only 1 washer and dryer at each restroom/shower house building. There are 100 campsites. We were there for 14 days, there were multiple times we had wait for other campers to come back remove their laundry. (They were not paying attention to their load of laundry being done - had to wait over 30 minutes once. After that incident, I called it fair game, gave them 10 minutes after the cycle ended, then I put their clothes on top of the dryer for them.) It's a beautiful park, but we know for any future stays to bring a space heater to the restrooms, not to ask the rangers any questions, to bring our own trail maps, and to use off site laundry facilities.

The Cicada are extremely loud
$24 nightly water, electric, dump station, no sewer.
Yes you sure can, has electric and water at every spot full laundry and showers available
So many beautiful shady spots, and restrooms! Enjoy!
That's no witch, that's my wife.
There are dirt roads everywhere and the place is really spread out. I recommend bringing bicycles to get around. It's walkable, but it's a lot of walking. We left our bicycles at home because there aren't "trails", and we regretted not having them.
Yes , people with dogs are allowed to tent camp. The dogs must be on a leash, and clean up after them. If you go somewhere, take the dogs with you.
Yes, tent camping and a little convenience store, boat/kayak rental. It is a nice park.
Not only is the park itself handicap accessible, they've built several handicap camping spots that are paved with paved access from the spot to the central restroom/ laundry facilities.
Nice park was there last weekend!
I don't think that the park has control of waterways
Cynthia... yes is correct...yepper
Most Lots have that amount of clearance you should be good.
74 and 76 are the ones we usually use for 32' either one works great and they also both have 50 amp available.
The cost is about 30.00. I was a tent camper so not sure about luxury camping.
Well-behaved dogs on leaves oods the requirement. FL parks don't have breed restrictions like some private campgrounds. Your dog just needs to be on a leash and not be aggressive.
The fishing there can really be hit-or-miss. The fish were in there in the fall and once it got cooler it's like they are gone.
I think you can have 2 and possibly pay extra per night per extra tent.
No wifi , Verizon is good.
As long as you have a fishing license and respect size and bag limits.
Tomoka Outpost guided pontoon boat tour. Call for more info.
No
It's only $5 for a car to enter. So none on getting in. But not sure if they have a senior discount for anything else like camping for example.
I haven't seen any in the camping site. I didnt go to the water, but there is a sign that says alligators exist in the area. You can see it if you scroll through the pictures.
25. About
I believe so, make sure you say it's 34 though. Nice park.
Hi. We use small soft plastic swim bait , any artificial bait, sometimes live bait. I'm not sure of the cost on live bait. It's best to call a couple bait shops a ask.
It's only accessible that early if you stay the night
If looking for free camping, there isn't much in FL. Check out the River Management Sites, you may have to make a reservation, but there are some areas in south fl that is free.
Like Skip said they do allow motor homes but there are limited amount of spots that will fit a motor home. So you will probably need to really book in advance to get one. Awesome state park though.
No .. they charge to enter the park if you don't have a reserved spot
Yes.
It's 55' right now. (11:30p.m.)But, day about 70'-80'! Great time of year, to camp!!
Buy the Florida State Park pass if you plan to visit more than in park this year. Once you buy the pass you'll be motivated to check out as many State Parks as possible.
Good
Yes, there are. The rates are $17 for the first hour and $10 after.
The trails are made of mulch and dirt, so it probably won't work very well with a wheelchair.
I would call the front desk and ask them.
It's a quiet Florida State Park. There are racoons and squirrels that might pilfer food if left out. You could encounter mosquitoes and snakes so being aware that you are in the woods is always advised. The park has access to a river and estuaries so watching little ones who don't swim is necessary. Safe from people? Generally campers are honest folks and I have never encountered a problem but you have to use your own judgement.
It is a very nice campground. Water and electric hookup. Well shaded, quiet, nice camp store. Restaurants nearby. Was there in February and really enjoyed my stay.
It's actually a Timucua site. This native tribe lived in the area when the Spanish and French arrived in Florida.
Yes, but they all have regular ugs also.
I don't see why not you would just have to pay for a campsite
Store accepts cash and card. Not sure about the park itself, I reserved abd paid online. Store has quite the variety and good people. Young Mom and Pop owners.
There are nature trails, but the basic public areas, store, beach, and so on probably can be enjoyed in an hour or two.
No
No but there is RV parking, with electrical sockets, and plenty of grilling areas
Should work!
$5 per vehicle, open 365 days a year 8 am till sundown. Has rental canoes & kayaks, picnic areas including pavilions with grills, hiking, fishing, camping, nature trail that is on the water and culture info on the timucuan indians.
www.reserveamerica.com will show you the sites.
Apparently $5.00 daily to visit.
Thank you Don
This is not a place to live but a place to camp. There are limits on how long you can stay.
Great park with water and electric.
No cabins, Blue Springs State Park has nice cabins. Check them out!
I didn't see any there. You might call them just to double check. This is mostly a campground.
Generally, in Florida you need a permit to fish from a boat, and you don't need one to fish from a pier. Go to a local Wal-Mart and ask. They do not sell permits at the park. If you need one, you need to have it when you get there.
The park has handicap equipped camp sites. But there ia no beach access at all. They do no rent any beach items. They are very close to A1A and you can basically leave the park turn left and head north along a1a till you find a place that can rent what you need.
Anytime between 10am and 6pm, there will be at least one park ranger at the gate
I saw a few that where available
Sorry I don't have anything available at this time
Yes
I believe the park can accommodate you. Their spaces are large. By the way, it's a beautiful place to stay.
Go to Reserve America website, you can do it from there
Same
Yes, there are washers and dryers in the bathhouses.
