As a state park this place is pretty basic. Winding Ridge road is not much of a road. Don't take a car down it. Take a pickup truck. There are multiple puddles where a car will get stuck. GEORGIA should spend some money on paving the road.

Warning: This is not a place you can go hiking. The description online is very misleading. This is a highly regulated, red tape managed hunting area. If you want to pay money and go through the red tape in order to obtain permits to get onto the land to slaughter innocent animals, this place is for you. If you only want to go hiking in beautiful woods to enjoy God’s magnificent creation, you will be disappointed as the trails there are closed with posted signs warning of dire consequences if you don’t have a valid “Land Pass”.
