Went on vacation to Oklahoma and found this digging up crystal thing to do. My son loves crystals and my daughter had a blast, as well. We found so many! I definitely recommend. I went during the summer which wasn't a good idea, it was really humid. I'd so go during the late fall time.

Great and fun place. So interesting and beautiful spots to camp. It was awesome to see so many pelicans at the dam. Camping, hiking, fishing, crystal digging. Fun for every age.

Cabins were amazing, beach was very unique (brackish water, never went above 3ft, stinky but therapeutic mud after sand ends), and crystal digging was fun! The cabins don't advertise all their amenities, so I'll fill you in (or you can just look at the pics with this review to see for yourself). They have a full kitchenette (minus a dishwasher), a full bathroom, dining table, tv w/ satellite service, a queen bed and a nice futon that folds into queen bed. On the outside, we had a water spicket, grill, and firepit. The staff we incredibly friendly and we'll definitely stay there again if we come back this way.

It is free to dig. It is a state park so there are camping areas. If you want good lodging options you probably need to look in Enid
Yes. They have cabins to rent. In fact my husband and I stayed in one for the weekend on our honeymoon. They come with everything, all you need to do is bring the food and toiletries
I paid $17.00 a night in the south spillway area.
Some 50/30 amp electric sites and water, dump station but not at sites.
If you are not camping, you will only need a park sticker for the vehicle. It cost nothing to dig crystals
You will need a shovel, sifter, and plenty of bottles of water! Dig a 1 ft deep by 1 ft across hole, pour water into it and feel with your hands for the crystals in the mud. Any other questions just let me know
They don't have full hookups but they do have a dump station, we didn't dump there because it looked too tight to get in but we have a 45' toy hauler. You will need to watch the trees overhead they hang low
They do have a discount for veterans. I don't remember what the amount is.
We were just there last weekend and I was wondering the same thing. It was pretty much dug up everywhere.
Yes. You have to make arrangements during their hours, then you can get into your cabin anytime that you arrive. They are great to work with. Happy camping!
We used an air bnb that was right across the street from the motel in Jet. It was awesome and only 100 for a weekend. We were 10 minutes from the park and 20 from the reserve.
If I remember correctly it looked like they had window units.
It doesn't cost anything to dig for crystals; i dont know about swimming cause it was fall when we went. Definitely take shovels, bowls, egg cartons are great for holding the crystals, water is useful for washing everything. You'll need sunblock, sunglasses, hats; its super bright and hot on the plains.
The park itself is open year round you can only dig for crystals april 1 through October 15.
Yes they are currently
