Depends on which stage fire restriction is current. I was there a few weeks ago and we were under stage 1. This means no backcountry fires, but fires at Pinon Flats and Mendano Pass sites were okay if there was a metal fire ring. There will be CLEAR signage in the park advising you on what it currently allowed.
