Everything else everyone is saying is true it would be best to call ahead or book online. If you're looking for today that would be pretty tough. My suggestion would be to check out Airbnb some places they have hookups for power but once you get in the valley if you don't have AT & T and have Verizon it gets hard to find a decent signal. There are no McDonald's for free Wi-Fi so before you head that way figure out hookups period another suggestion there is areas around the park within 15 to 20 miles that are Bureau of Land Management property where you can park. Also, check out crestone which is not too far from there they're usually are some Airbnb locations where you can park or stay for cheap
