As you climb the dunes you will see lots of tracks. It's not easy to see the wildlife , but we saw tracks all over.
What Laurie said. There is lots of wildlife near the dunes and in the surrounding forests and foothills. Out in the dunes not so much.
Tortoises, lizards, birds, deer, coyote, fox, and many more. Sage and juniper forest is just up the hill, while cottonwood trees and typical river corridor habitat is along the edge of the sand dunes. Way back in the heart of the sand dunes, where there is sand and only sand in every direction, I have no idea...
Amazing amount of wildlife and tons of things to do! You could spend a week there and still not see everything
