We didn't have any issues when we went. Just go to the right of the entrance and there will be a lot less mosquitoes. Be sure to be where there isn't stagnant water and you'll be fine.

When I was there I did not see any sand fleas. I also was there over a month ago.

I seen people with doggs and the doggs running down the tops of the dunes looking mad happy lol also I didn't get bit by anything but I had jeans, a long sleeve on and spent most my time up top not by the wet sand down below.

We were there two days ago and didn't experience any fleas. Mosquitoes, yes. I would be more worried about the 120 + degree sand on fido's feet. The place is awesome, so please don't be discouraged. Be sure to bring water, sunscreen and insect repellent and enjoy the day!

Don't go!!! We used off and skin so soft and it didn't help. The worst place is at the bottom on the dunes where its wet. Definitely wouldn't take a dog there. That's just cruel. On a side note I did see some people with a mixture of bleach and water in a spray bottle. Or rubbing alcohol and water in a spray bottle. Crazy I wouldn't put that on my skin.
