You can camp anywhere in the dunes as long as you hike past the day-use area (about 1.5 miles in). See their website under Hiking and Backpacking for more info and options.

How far are the dunes off of highway 160. Wont have alot of time but would lime to stop and see it. Hear the water is higher than usual too. Thank you
