What works best for sledding on the sand? I've heard snow slids can't be used. Thank you.

The best thing is to use the sleds you can rent at the beginning of the park for 20$

Best to go out early the rented ones have to be returned by early evening 4 or 5. Plus avoid the summer heat and it gets windy so face mask/scarf type thing is needed.

At either the Oasis store just outside of the park...or in Alamosa at a store named Khristi's sports. Both similar in rental price.

Yeah you can rent sand boards near the lodge outside the park. I think you can also find in alamosa

Just know it's a long walk to be able to slide down. All fun and games until someone decides not to hike all the way up.
