Adopted a cat from here near the beginning of the year who treats being brushed like a fight for their life. As a result, the cat is currently pretty matted. I called to ask for a groomer recommendation and was given more information to help make brushing easier and how to handle the mats myself because a groomer will likely end up shaving the animal. I appreciate the information and the cheerfulness of the person I spoke to.

Here is where I adopted my two cats. They have a very nice building and seem to care about their pets. The reason I took one star off is because I felt pressured into an adoption. We took a stray cat to them. They revealed he had health issues that would be deadly and that if we didn’t adopt him, they would put him down. We adopted him (and we’re so happy), but all the vets he’s been to said he’s very healthy and will live a long life 🤷🏻♀️

the folks who work here genuinely care for the animals that they take in. I'm so immensely grateful to them and the help they offer animals and the community. I had to rehome a cat and they made a difficult decision okay to navigate. the campus is beautiful and different areas of the shelter are clearly marked.

Living in the "country" cases people to think its ok to drop off their unwanted cats in our yard. Sadly, they will breed and breed until they are starving because there are not enough mice to sustain them all😪 So very thankful for the help Greenhill offers with the spay and neuter program with wild cats. Without them we would have hundreds of them running wild out here.

I'm not aware if they do any boarding or sitting for pets, (even the ones they've rescued) but I'd sure give them a call and ask. They can possibly recommend someone good and qualified to temporarily care for your kitty/kitties. I always talk to/ask to talk to "Becky" out at Greenhill. She's very friendly and knowledgeable. Hope this helps and you're able to find a qualified caring pet boarder/sitter.
Yes, Greenhill has cats for adoption, they don't put a time-limit on how long they are there.
You can go to their website and look at the animals available for adoption at each location.
I would call Green Hill to learn their guidelines for volunteering
Yes, $50
Yes
Good luck with that ive been waiting since thurs.i have caught 3 out of 5 kittens.need to get momma fixed,if shes not already pregnant.everybody is full of kittens right now.kitten season.if people would just get there animals fixed do ther part this wouldnt be happening..my neighbors just brought 2 not fixed females in neighbor hood.werent here b4 that.
Try Chihuahuas in Oregon facebook group. They can help.
Do they kill animalsihave pit mix 1yr old ro much for me to handle he's a good dog good with kids Andy 2 little dogs but he needs trained and fixed he's a big love need to find him a new home I've had him since he was 8.weeks old I don't want him killed .
Let them know how long it's been going on. Do you know if other reports have been made? How old are the dogs? If you have recordings of the barking and whining and photos of the living conditions that will help substantiate your story. Also, see if there are other neighbors who can testify to same. Good luck. Please post back what happened.
I know they can help with spay and neuter
Sorry have not seen him. Green hills has a lot if lost cat's you might want to check there
Yes, Greenhill will take it in....
Yes you can. Call them to set up an appointment. There is paper work also. They are very good. I just turned in my 2 cat's because I can't take care of them anymore. They are really really good. I hope it all works out
You must call Greenhill and make an appointment to drop off any animals that can no longer be a house by you okay
I suggest you contact the shelter directly rather than asking Google at large.
You can call them or go to their website and look up what donations they take. They also sell used items that are in good condition.
Socializer is one of the volunteer options. You do need to go through a training process and commit to a minimum of 8hr/month for at least 6 months. My daughter and I have been socializing in the small animal room for several months. It's a lot of fun.
I highly recommend going in. You can let them know about the app. We got our puppy from GHS. Super quick to go in!
Yes they do. As long as it is in it's original container and not expired.
I don't work there. I have heard more negative things about them then our experiences.
If I were you I would try them. I don't know if it would help, but you need help from someone.
No.
Yes
Where are you located at?
They're very busy. I'd say the best route would be to call them.
I called them let them know that my dog had gotten lost and they wanted to charge me. I told them I didn't ask for my dog to run off and that I couldn't afford that money and they waived it. They will neuter or spade the animal for free and they'll "optionally" microchip it for you but it won't cost you anything.
They do not pick up found animals. Carolyn is correct about animal control. You can also go to the Emergency Veterinary Hospital in Springfield to see if the animal is chipped
Neither one of the previous answers are correct (1st Avenue Shelter no longer exists, and Greenhill will take in and care for cats from all of Lane County depending on the situation.) Please call Greenhill at 541-689-1503 and explain our specific situation in detail. They will provide help as they can.
They dont charge but you have to call for appt. You only pay for adopting.
You should contact your local animal welfare officer. In any of the city's within Lane County call the non-emergency police number. In unincorporated Lane County call Lane County Animal Services.
They have a surrender policy but I don't know how it works. They also have a trap neuter and release.
No, but do offer free spay/neuter for feral cats that are trapped. Pro-Bone-O provides free spay/neuter for homeless people with animals. Wagwag.org may provide financial assistance for spay/neuter (they have a price list.)
Are you open on sundays?
Yes, if the food is in its original bag. No if it's just in a generic paper bag.
They have a website that lists all the pets available for adoption
You should try doing yardwork for neighbours and other people you know. I don't know if you can get a regular job and I'm certain that you would need you parents consent.
Then you can only foster animals needing PT care. JH sometimes the mothers are unavailable for the infants so occasionally it is necessary. The staff can only do so much alone.
If you call they will tell you, you can also see their recently adopted animals on their facebook and their available animals are usually on their website
They may take. I took a cared fir stray in my neighborhood and they had room. MoMo eventually got adopted through Cat rescuse and adoption network. I cared for him as long as I could. My cat hated MoMo and I ready had 5. CRAN also does surrenders.
I adopted a kitten & brought him home the same day. I would call Greenhill & ask about dogs.
You sure can. Just check for times & days by calling them 1st.
They may have some in foster care. Check their website or give them a call. www.green-hill.org
You should call them and see what they have. They don't usually have service animals.
It's winter time so kittens aren't being born much. There will be the usual abundance in springtime
You have to go there if you want to see if your kitten is there. I believe you have to have proof it's yours, like pictures.
Greenhill does use fosters for some cats, yes.
Rivee road is the lowest ive used
Give Greenhill Humane society a call they will help
Im sorry. Id give them a call in the morning.
You are not addressing the organization, rather a group of volunteer guides. I suggest you contact the city animal control office.
Call and ask I'm sure you can mail a donation and you can go to Greenhill during business hours and donate money or any other materials for the animals
I suggest contacting them directly and asking to speak to their volunteer coordinator.
I would call them directly
Yes they havd both
