You should try doing yardwork for neighbours and other people you know. I don't know if you can get a regular job and I'm certain that you would need you parents consent.
I agree with Geoff's good advice. If you mean work/volunteer at/for Greenhill Humane Society, give them a telephone call and ask if they could use your help, after getting the "Okay." from mom and dad first.
