Arrived at 11:45 on a Monday. Rushed back outside the door rather rudely because they were over capacity without anyone outside of the door to warn you. Then we were told it would be a 15 min wait. Shortly after that, another guard came out saying it would be 1.5 to 2 hours and we'd be better off leaving. Go go gadget government. Thanks for nothin!

We understand that this place can be so busy and people getting uptight with the service. My wife and I went there today and the problem was addressed within 10 minutes and out we went. My wife had something in her purse that they don't allow in the office so I had to run back out to the vehicle with it but no big deal. All marshalls we encountered were polite and respectful doing their job. The gentleman behind the counter that helped us was great. I don't always expect a wonderful time at a venue like this but felt they needed to be acknowledged for the service today and professionalism.

I sent in paperwork to have taxes taken out of my SS I was told to send it to the local office...that was November they still are not doing it. I called the SSA number and was on hold for 2 hours and 45 minutes and they just disconnected me. They are not doing their jobs very frustrating.

I sat on hold for over two hours just to be told to visit the website and have them hang up on me. It is impossible to set up appointments on the website, and is impossible to get ahold of a representative via phone. I visited the office a few weeks back to get a new social security card and there was only one person accessing the computers. She was new and helpful but a group of four employees stood behind her overseeing what she was doing rather than helping other people in the waiting room. The state and system need to do better especially due to their work quality affecting peoples financial status.

No

The office is so busy there is no one to answer phones...
It is for Washington State and the address is listed in the post
Horrible place
No appointment necessary. You can just go in. Make sure you have a mask. They open at 9 am.
Almost impossible. Walk in
The office is open for drop ins from 9-4. Might be easier to go in.
Call the office. I'm just a private citizen like yourself.
No appointment only. You have to call and make one.
You need to call and make an appointment ahead of time due to covid restrictions.
No. If it's only drop off, there's a guard in the office that will take it from you at the 5th floor door.
Only for very specific reasons, in which I have yet to figure out. I had a bunch of trouble getting a name change done bc it's all through the mail.
Monday to Friday from 11am to 1pm.
Yes, you need an appointment first. Take around 20 minute in hand while calling.
No, I went just a week ago and they were still closed.
I was just there 2 weeks ago and they told me to call. They were not doing walkins
This office has been closed due to COVID-19
Yes
Takes a while to reach them by phone, but in my experience persistence worked.
Yes you can you just need to call the social security administration and set up an appointment
No you do not just ask the security guard there if he can get you an envelope and drop it in the Dropbox just make sure you put your social security number on it and your full name
You need to go to the office a nod feel out the long form at the table and wait for your number to be called
Contact your local Social security office
Yes you can go in with out a appointment I do it ever time I want to go in
I had to physically walk my mom's in 2x . Somehow her info didn't get entered into the system the 1st time. Also ask for a receipt for proof that you did indeed turn it in
You'll need to call or visit the office. Perhaps it will come tomorrow, the 3rd since the 1st landed on a Sunday. Just a guess...
I wouldn't be surprised if it takes two to three months to active this. It takes about that long to activate Medicare healthplan deductions.
Typically Friday after 2 pm
Yes you can print off the award letter off line just Google the social security administration and it should take you straight to there website
Id call the 800 number
You can live anywhere because they are going to put it on a debit Visa card every month anyway
That just mskes things more difficult for me, im trying to make an appointment over the phone. Because i work at night...
I believe you can call an 800 number to do that.
That would be a question for them but I think you need your i.d. social and birth certificate that's just my guess
Go to the ssi office an aple for one
Yes
Get a lawyer
Across the street on the east side there is 2 hour free parking along the empty field. The street is metered parking though. There is also a parking structure across the street on the south side with reasonable rates.
Street parking.
You can file for one at the office or call the toll free number and they will mail your Social security card to you.
I don't believe so
Regular id
I've found it best to go in, make appointment in person and then come back. It is supposed to a an easy online process, never had any luck.
You can order a replacement card online and it comes to you in 7-10 business days but I'm not sure if the office will print you something to have immediately.
When calling Social security be prepared to be on hold for any time up to an hour more or less. I just put it on speaker phone put my feet up and read or play games. You may have an option to give a number for a call back without losing your call in line. Make sure to have your questions ready. Many things can be done on line when you have your account set up as an appointment may 1-3 months out. If you go to the office the wait may be 1 - 3 hours. I have done the wait routine both ways. Both work fine if you are patient. You could also call Medicare directly since you have Part A.
Call to make appointment BUT on hold for up to an hour, more or less. Put on speaker phone and watch TV or read. Appointments are 1-3 months out. OR go to the office take a number, wait maybe 1 - to 3 hours.
Go to SSA.gov, create an account and order yourself a new one. Save yourself hours in the office
And you can't get DL with out social security card lololol right!!! government 🤦
Apply online
Yes, here is the link to the infi about it on the social security administration's website: https://www.ssa.gov/ssnumber/
No. She is no longer considered a minor.
Same
It took some time on phone to get appt i suggest just going to office take a # and wait
How do I make an appt
I need the fax number also the lady i was talking to forgot yo give it to me.
You sign up for a MySocialSecurity account and select e-statements then you don't need to worry about mail.
To the best of my knowledge if you need anything like that, you must go to the social security office in person, request the letter, then take it to your manager. That's what I've always had to do.
Easiest way is online by setting up a MySocialSecurity account on ssa.gov. Not only can you change your address but you can also see your statements and many other things.
Which card? Medicare or Social Security?
3 months before the month of your 65 birthday, the month of and 3 months after. 7 month window.
Probably online. Going to the office you can wait 1-3 hours and then they will still only mail it to you.
Unless it's a federal holiday, they should be open. Thanksgiving is on the 23rd, if you were confused about that.
Just a photo id and ur parents names and birthdates
