Great credit union! The employees are friendly, professional, and work hard. They are accommodating and understanding especially to those who have been banking with them for a period of time. I laughed when I saw reviews regarding their drive thru system because it is no different than any other bank, CU, fast food joint, etc.

Sub-par customer service. Don't go inside with messy hair or they will judge you. Also don't bother making any suggestions on how to improve their service. The manager will just be unessarly short with you and act like their time is more valued then yours. I will now avoid this branch whenever possible.

I'm laughing at all the older reviews about the ATM machine being out of service at this branch -- it was again today! Best part: you can't actually see the technician working on it as you drive up (technician is blocked by his own vehicle). So, I get in line behind his van and then a couple more cars are behind me (and I'm blocked in). After a good 20 or 30 minutes, one of the employees comes out and starts directing cars (starting with the back of the ATM line, of course) to get in one of the two drive up lanes. She finally gets to my car where my window is rolled down, and I'm smiling, and she says -- super snotty -- "The machine is down" (duh -- I've been watching the guys work for quite some time) "and you need to get in one of those two lanes...unless you wanna wait!" How about -- since a repairman's van looks just like a customer using the ATM, from the street/driveway -- putting out a sign out if/when the ATM is out of service, Einstein. Seems simple. 🤷♀️

Negative stars for this credit union as a whole. Incompetent people doing obstructionist things with your account is not good. Every teller, and certainly their managers, should know what forms and pieces of information are needed to open an account, change an account, accomplish banking. Their primary purpose should be to serve banking needs of their loyal customers. It appears that they just like to be a company that “sounds local“ but actually sends loan servicing and other banking tasks off to other states. Find a credit union that employees Washingtonians. Look for a credit union that actually supports local community in total. Judging by the incompetence of lobby staff it is understandable that their board has decided to hire contractors from California, Arizona, New Jersey, Texas. Apparently they have not tapped into a pool of talent in Vancouver that would suit customer needs.

Rob, yes our Orchards branch has a coin counter machine. We have other branches with coin machines, too. You can see these types of services listed for each of our branch locations here: https://www.columbiacu.org/locations/
