They really mad my 1st experience and positive one. LT Bird kept in touch with me for months keeping me updated. I heard yesterday the ruling was in my favor, so unfortunately the dog will need to be put down. They found out the dog done this to many other dogs since attacking Darby. So its time to keep our nice neighborhoods a bit more save. Thank you Animal Control

Yesterday I started fostering Madeline. A one year old pitbull mix. When I arrived at the shelter the staff/volunteers quickly greeted me, and even offered to watch my small puppy in the lobby while my partner and I went to look at the available dogs for adoption. As soon as we saw Madeline we fell in love with her, brought her into the lobby for a meet n greet with our current puppy, and the whole staff stood by and watched the dogs (everyone looking just as hopeful as ourselves that they would get along). THEY DID!! We agreed to foster Madeline to see how she does with our cat and toddler before we fully commit, and one day later I am so sooo happy to say that we will be ADOPTING MADELINE 🥳 She is the perfect dog and does perfectly with all of our children and fur children. The shelter staff here are amazing and put in so much time and effort into socializing the dogs that come in so they have the best odds of finding a furrever home. I’m incredibly grateful.

My sweet, old kitty was at the end of her life. I didnt want her to suffer, yet the cost of euthanasia at most vet offices is outrageous. I learned my pet could be cared for at Animal Services for an affordable cost, so I could gift her mercy. And the staff was wonderful and caring! Both to my kitty, and to myself.

Excellent service. Staff were very prompt in checking in client's, providing documents to be filled out all in the comfort of my car. They provided assistance in carrying in and out my pet's. Paperwork was a little long. Once completed, vaccinations were prompt. Great staff and I truly appreciate their taking care of my pets.

you can get a 3 year vaccine and license
Contact Animal Control. They'll let you know what your rights are.
I have a senior cat (male) who needs a good home if you want him. I called the pinellas county shelter and they want me to pay a can't $75. Fee in order for them to take him, and when I explained that I couldn't afford it I got yelled at and told I'm not a responsible pet owner, even though I was trying to do the right thing.
I adopted a pet from there last week and her name was VELVET. We change it to CHANCE, she is precious. We love her to death. They have the cleanest and nicest handlers at that adoption center.💝💝💝
I mean was it abuse or scolding only you saw the details and locationshould have said please dont abuse your dog its a misdemeanor
I believe that would fall under Fish and Wildlife jurisdiction.
I don't know what the fees are and I'm not sure if they do that there I know the SPCA does you should call them with your questions to get accurate answers
Yes they have dogs of all sizes and breeds. They are in constant availability. You simply need to check online or go into their location as the pets area changing all the time
Its a place call the spot. The shots are very cheap there ☺️
Pinellas AC does take care of more than just dogs and cats
What kind of dog are you surrendering, i may be interested .
Because people donate a brick in their pet's name for a fee to the shelter.
Mabe a Pitt rescue. Our dog came from there and she is a pit mix
I hope it wasn't bad ... maybe you should talk to the owner first and you guys decide together what you need to do next
The Pinellas County Animal Services website contains information on pet adoptions. http://www.pinellascounty.org/animalservices/Adoption_Center.htm
I have had excellent experiences only here. But I do know that certain shelters only take a certain type of drop off - my understanding is that what Pinellas Animal Control won't take the SPCA will, and vice versa. They work together. Perhaps you can check that out?
No rabbits at PCAS ...Rabbits go to the SPCA at 9099 130th Ave N, Largo, FL 33773
Yes, donations are always needed and very much appreciated.
Someone was about a cat license that they had to do it every year you can do it for one year or three years
You would have to call that in to the animal services and they would give her a warning I would imagine
I had dead peacock. Due to protections on them I thought for sure someone would want it. After checking with ten agencies the Sheriffs department told me to tie in bag and leave with trash. They were correct, next day garbage men took it away.
Yes or you can ask if it doent have chip if you can keep it
The adoption fee for kittens is $50, unless they're running a special. They come up to date on shots and wormed and fixed. All kittens are at least 8 weeks of age when adopted out, some may be older.
Also adding to what Janice said, If you go to the Pinellas county website and search for animal services, most likely you will get a chat, go ahead and chat with the agent and he/she will schedule your appointment 👍 that is how I did it.
As this has been over 2 years ago, it is highly unlikely that you would be able to get a straight answer. Let's hope for the sake of the kittens that the agency found a home for each of the kitties. In the future, it might be a good idea to seek out places like S.P.O.T., an agency that have LOW PRICES for dog and cat care. Check them out as well other agencies like this one. Good luck!!!
While not against the law, you become responsible for ANY AND ALL damage done by your dog. If he bites someone or knocks them down, you are legally liable.
Definitely say that
I really don't know. However, I strongly suggest calling them for the right answer. Furthermore, it depends on the medical equipment. Good luck!!!
I know some areas are ok to have chickens.
Not sure I havent that situation but you could call and ask and if they dont they probably know who would.
I had a small turtle that I raised until he was big enough to release. Feed him turtle pellets of you want to watch him grow up enough to be released.
Yes it's a no kill shelter they only euthanize the sick and very aggrsive
15 years old
Same answer, only without the lol
Yes you change your mind, call them
They have 1 atm. A male Australian cattle dog hound mix. 4 months old. Most everyone else are young dogs 1-2 years or old mature dogs.
You can drop the cat off but if no one adopts it they euthanize them.
Call ASPCA.
Yes but you cant stay with your pet when they do it. However they are kind and loving.
All of the animals put up for adoption are screened and treated for whatever malady they may have. During adoption you are given a list of any procedures your potential new pup went through.
Animal services runs adoption fee specials, during breeding months or over crowding, check with them after this week to bond with another kitty. They are closed for renovations now.
Yes
Call yourself the fees do include all shots and licenses where applicable.
If your dog is chipped, they will call. If not, you need to go there and look at the recent strays. Newly acquired dogs won't be in with the general dogs up for adoption.
You will have to find her, hope u had her chipped.

Unfortunately, no. But, if you make a report they can see previous reports made and hopefully take it more seriously.
Cat traps are legal. But if you have concerns, especially with the heat, I'd try to get photos and call the police.
Contact the SPCA or your local sheriff's office Police department as that is animal abuse the dog could die from heat stroke.
We are looking for a ginger/orange female older cat to adopt.
You can call them but u still may need to go check out the cats if multiple animals match the description or just to ensure its your cat.
Rescue them! 👍😉
Probably
I paid 40 for my adoption but could be around 60 to 80 and that includes almost everything
Have you tryed calling the shelters and animal services and giving them the id number of your service animal
It's $100 to start to get your pet back. Even if someone else finds it and brings it to PCAS, they will charge the owner. If it has a license, they can look up the owner for you and you can hold it for them at no charge. If you release the animal to PCAS, they will charge the owner. I just went thru this two weeks ago.
Their website clarifies they DO Lethal Injection (this is NOT a NO Kill Shelter)
If her situation is as dire as your post sounds, odds are any shelter is going to do the humane thing for her and put her to sleep. I know that is hard, I recently had to make that decision for my boy, who I loved dearly. The best thing in my opinion would be to contact the aspca and see if they can help you. I'm so sorry you have this going on in your life. They touch us so deeply and it is heartbreaking that they only live such a short time. My thoughts are with you.
I paid $50 for 3 year rabies vaccine and license. You have to go in on Thursdays between 1 and 4 if you need to get the vaccine. It only took 15-20 minutes for the visit.
Do you want her privately cremated?
Varies, generally $40 for large breed adults (~40lbs.) or $75 for puppies/small breeds. All adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations, & microchip.
I don't remember how much was it when i got my pitbull from there because I give them $100 total to help for the animals but I think was like $40
Yes, they have loaner traps. Also, a catch (feral cats only now), spay/neuter, clip ear (to know whose been fixed), and release from where they came from, program.
Don't know, but around August 18 there will be a drive on for massive adoptions... check with your local center
That's so sad yeah call the animal control so they can check to see if everything is okay with the dogs.
They have a lot to deal with and mostly they are all volunteers
Hug a pet in need and not yourself in caffeine.
Your state or drivers license, vet paper work showing shots are up to date.
is very good to have a possum living in your property ...
In sure there Is also a rescue service In your area. FB Groups. I would connect with them first. Good luck.
Call wildlife mgmt but know they'll kill the gator who isnt bothering anyone nor attacking anyone even after they fell in the pond.
Oops...no meant to have dog checked out that was previously neutered there....my friend's dog ran away and now found but in bad shape...itching and biting at skin...
I do have a phone number for a lady that will help you to trap them then release in the same area..catch and release program from Pinellas county...cats get aggressive when they fight for matting or for territory where they have food available...I do take care of 17 cats that live on the streets and I kind of know their behavior by watching for the last 3 years or more what they do...forgot to tell you..the fee for each cat is around 15.00 bucks
What Kathy said. They are really well organized and things go quite quickly.
You need to call and report it to animal control
Call and talk with them ... They are very friendly.
If you know for sure that the raccoon is rabid because it has attacked you or your pet, definitely let Pinellas Animal Control know and they may be able to trap it. Raccoons are actually protected wildlife here so there is no organization that will actually go pick up raccoons otherwise.
All animals adopted from the shelter are neutered or spayed before adoption . You cannot take your own Kitty to be neutered. They do however do reduced cost immunizations for your animals
You can call Pinellas County Animal Services and talk to dispatch. They will let you know what you can do.
Rabie shots are offered Thursdays for $10.00
I',m not sure, but it's not very expensive. Sometimes they do special reduced prices...call and/or check their website.
rabies shots are $10... licenses are $20 for 1 year, $40 for 3 year
Thursdays 1-4pm
They have a website that you can get to from Pinellas County Government website. There is a link to their adoptable animals.
Call Animal Services if you feel the need to report this, or, better yet, speak nicely to your neighbor about the problem.
Yes, by appointments or on certain days. You need to call them or stop by to find out prices .
You can only bring kittens in if they have been weaned off of there mother. Otherwise you have to bring the mother with them.
Property owner or you can call animal services
Yes, they are open on Saturday's. I'm not sure of the hours. I suggest you go to their website.
This shelter has only one short day and it's Saturday they are open 9-6 Monday thru Friday and the other (2) shelters pull animals from there and their hours are longer on Saturday and Sunday and shorter during the week. Group effort for the Animals 🐈🐕
They have reasonable prices and they will work with you take dog to paws
Microchip varies at animal services like 9/28 they will be $7 with proof of rabies and tag and you can get it on that date from 1-4 rabies tag and chip offered
No but They have information for you about vets that do neutering at reasonable prices.
Call Animal Services and report it. Against the law in Pinellas County to tie a dog outside.
You can but I believe there do it only on certain days.
