Never expected that government agency can execute this good and organized. Got emergency appointment within 14 days of my travel (please add more phone numbers rather than having 1 nationwide, so people can reach out easier to schedule appointments, for me it took 1 hour to continuously call till I hold of someone). Was able to schedule appointment with no problem and got my kids passports after 2 days of my appointment. Thank you !

The reviews stating that they were able to get their passports without an appointment are outdated. They have changed their policy within the last 3 weeks and will only serve those WITH appointments or those who have a life or death emergency WITH a doctors note. The paper on the signs stated otherwise saying that you could get served without an appointment if your application was already pending. Before the doors opened at 8AM we were all turned away by the passport manager if we did not have an appointment or a doctors note even though the signs said otherwise. We let the manager know our applications were in process and he said if we didn't have a doctors note we would not be served. Wasted a day driving from Oregon and taking time off work for them to not follow the signs they put out.

I had a great experience with getting my appointment and passport the same day. I called as soon as the passport offices opened on Monday and got an appointment at Seattle office. I got late for my appointment as I was coming in from a different city. The people at the office were kind and assured me that they will do their best. I gave my application by 11 AM and by 1:30 AM PST i had my passport and on my way to the airport.

What an amazing place! I had to travel urgently, got my ticket, made an appointment (when I travel date was exactly 2 weeks away), turned in my paperwork in their office at 9am and by 2:30 pm my passport was ready. Wow! Super fast, super helpful and nice staff. I wish all of the government agencies worked as well as this one. Thank you so much!!
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
Yes but I would recommend doing so otherwise you have to wait longer
Yes
oops
No, but if you don't get one u may need to wait a lot
Yes in the cafe on the first floor
The pandemic has created a huge backlog for appointments, especially in Seattle. I had to email my senators office to get an appointment.
Yes. If you have all of the necessary documentation and proof of immediate travel. You can find all of the necessary forms you'll need on their website!
As early as 2-3 days
Yes
You can renew it the same day as long as u have a proof that ur living the country within 72 hours....
I went thru this whole thing a couple weeks ago. They release appointments every day at 1am for two weeks out but there's only 8 slots per day so its difficult to get. I gave up and didn't go on the trip so I didn't try the 72 hours last minute thing but it seems sketch. I live nearby so I just showed up a couple times to talk to people. The whole passport agency is a total mess right now. Unless you have a doctor's note or death certificate of immediate family it's going to be really tough. Good luck
Unfortunately the answer is No. The cutoff for sameday passports is 9:00am. Most sameday passports are done at around 2:00-2:30pm. If your able to go in at around 8:00am you should be able to get it sameday! Don't forget to bring your proof of immediate travel!
If you bring proof of immediate travel and all of the other neccessary information/documents than yes. Typically If you arrive at the office when they open at 8:00 am you'll have your passport by 2:00 pm that same day!
Possibly the same day if you take in all of the required documents and photos. Good luck!
I believe you can do it inside along as you have an appointment
Only by calling them
You have to call them and wait on hold for four hours. Fun.
They have an "appointment" line and a "no appointment" line the appointment is recommended cause there's no guarantee without one.
I believe so.
Quite unlikely. They typically only issue the same day if in an emergency. You can certainly try though. I'd arrive at 8AM because they don't really care about your appointment time so long as it is for that day.
2 weeks i think, they will tell you
You can find most information about passports on travel.state.gov and you can also go to the Seattle passport agency and ask someone directly about your passport status. They may or may not help you because it's an expedited passport agency and it's a case by case basis.
They do accept walk in and if you want you can make appointment it's optional I was there last week to apply new passport and renew my mom's passport we're traveling December 24th we didn't make any appointment we just walk in and tell show them our ticket we get our passport done within one day. Since every other passport place is closed now they accept walk in.
No. They no longer doing that. You get a new book instead
They are notttt, you have to schedule an appt
It's a passport agency and I don't have the answer to that so if you need to answers or have questions I suggest to come down and ask the passport agency what is accepted. If I were to guess seeing as it is a passport agency my guess would be is that they accept all kinds.
There's also a Diamond surface lot just west on Terrace. Easy in/out last Monday and Tuesday.
Just went through this, you want to get there as early as you possibly can. There was plenty of people in line at 8. So get there 10 m8ns to 2 hours before unfortunately.
You can do a walking just get there before 8
Unfortunately calling them is the best way however, if you're hard pressed with time and need immediate assistance, I suggest you drive up there even without an appointment to schedule one. If you're fortunate enough, you may get one the same day. Just make sure you have all the necessary documents required.
They were gonna do it same day for my sister in law so they may be able to!
Yes you can. No sooner than 72 hours before departure, though
You can go in 72 hours in advance before your flight leaves. Bring proof of everything and they can reissue it and you'll pick it up the next day. It opens at 8 but you want to be at the front of the line outside the entrance at 7. We just did this two weeks ago and it worked perfectly!!
Sara were you able to get in and get your same day passport if so how?
It is possible. You just need to make an appointment on their website. The appointment needs to be within 72hours of your departure and you can set the appointment 2 weeks before. If you don't find something immediately don't give up. There are appointments popping up always(especially at midnight)😉 Hope that helps!
You can get your passport the same day with a international airplane ticket ...
If it's an emergency you'll need to provide proof of the emergency. Otherwise, it'll be difficult to get the appointment. I believe you have to do it online or call in.
You can only make an appointment if you're traveling out of the country, and you can't just go there. It's best just to call and talk to them. I was able to get through, no problem. Don't call the 800 Number, call the local 206 Number.
Don't bother. Just walk in.
Yes on the phone or online
What time do recommend getting in line if you don’t have an appointment?
No, I tried.
Yes, but you need to call for an appointment first.
The agency is only accepting emergency type of cases. That's the first thing they will ask upon arrival.
All the instructions are on travel.state.gov.
I didn't stay at a hotel there. Sorry I can't be of help.
I made an appointment to get a same day reissue of my passport as I was traveling to a foreign country and had less then six months left on my passport. I arrived at my appointment time of 9am and proceeded in as if I had no appointment, in fact I tried to tell them I made an appointment and tried to give them the number I recieved, they didnt care. The gentleman asked me why I was I not here at 8am, If I needed to fly out the same day. 20 minutes later after filling out the paperwork i was told to come back at 2pm. I arrived at 2pm and 5 minutes later had a new passport for another 10 years. Good to have an appointment, but not needed.
Walk ins ok. I had appointment, did not need it.
For passports you can walk in, but you will need to take a number and wait (sometimes a while)
Applying for a passport is through the federal government, not the state, so it shouldn't matter where you go to sign up as long as you have valid ID.
Yes
Make an appointment for a morning timeslot and fill in the forms online. It should be possible if you do that and pay the expedite fee.
Kinda. You should make one but once you get there it is a take a number and wait system. Like the DMV. For some reason they still want you to make an appointment though. If it's an emergency, just show up and they are very helpful. Don't mess with the guards. Good luck
Go online, fill out the renewal form, make an appointment at the Seattle Passport Agency, get proper passport photos, go to your appointment and be prepared to wait a few hours.
Yes, but get proper photos, make an appointment and fill out the forms online before you go in.
Follow the instructions on this page: https://www.usa.gov/passport#item-34912
Don't use any private company, only use travel.state.gov. Make an appointment, fill out the DS-82 form, have your photo taken in the cafe in the lobby of the building that the Seattle Passport Agency is in, present your old passport and the fees (I think it's $170 for the renewal fee and the expedite fee). And be very kind to the staff.
Yes, but make an appointment first.
Here’s a couple of ways I found hope this helps. Sorry for your loss! https://mx.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/death-of-a-u-s-citizen/ http://actaamerica.com/services/death-certificate.html
https://passportappointment.travel.state.gov Make sure you bring any travel itinerary documents with you so they can verify your travel dates. Copy of plane tickets, hotel stays etc..
https://passportappointment.travel.state.gov
You Must schedule the appointment to get the expedited passport. They are very friendly, just go thru the line and wait your turn, they will help you out!
Yes if you have prof of travel the for same day or next morning. Or if you live far away like Oregon can't come back and pick it up
No is closed that day
OPM.gov/shutdown
You need to have proof of immediate travel, proof of citizenship, passport photo. Make an appointment
If it was a 10 year passport you will need to start over. They only take passport renewals less than 15 years old. For a new passport you will need: proof of U.S. citizenship (Original birth certificate), Goverment issued photo ID, Color Passport photo (Most Costco's do them), DS-11 application form(Can print off internet), and a check or money order for payment. If you do it by mail you will get your original birth certificate back with your new passport.
Might be a Limited Validity Passport. Those are issued to folks who need a emergency passport but maybe missing some of the required documents to get a full 10 year passport.
Yes. The shop on the main floor as you enter offers passport photos.
I was able to get one for my 7 year old in less than a week. Just let them know when you need it by and they will expedite it via USPS.
Call and ask. Safest bet than a comment feature on Google maps.
No. Print+Fill out the appropriate forms on/from their website and bring them, your itinerary for short notice travel, and passport pics with you. You want to be among the early/opening crowd to ensure getting it by 2pm. Call to find out which forms are correct for you. Also remember to bring the $ for the application.
Definitely call first they are very accessible and very informative. They have set standards "know before you go", They are very fast and efficient but they have requirements they can not desperate from also go on line and see the state departments requirements in order to streamline your process
Take your flight itinerary with you to show your actually flying out of the states. Worked for us.
Hi they will decide the date based on when your travel date is scheduled. Our flight was scheduled 5 days from our meeting with them. They had us come back following day to pick it up. If it was only one day later im pretty sure we would have gotten it same day. As long as you have everything in order they will make it work!
I doubt
Less than a week
Depends. When are you leaving? And did u book an appointment
Yes and both parents or a ds 3053 of consent
They are open m to f 8am to 3pm except for hoildays
Call in to the office. I don't see information readily available.
If this is his first adult passport (first passport renewal after 16th birthday), then use Form DS-11 instead of DS-82. The fee for first-time adult passports is $135. It is recommended that at least one parent appear in person with children ages 16 and 17.
You should have your passport by 2-3pm, if you get all paperwork in by 8-9am . After turning in paper packet, they give you a receipt type paper. On this paper is a time range for you to come back and pick up the passport.
Same day service for passport renewals, arrive before 11am with papers filled out, they can help you out when you get there, or call ahead to make sure you have what is needed for the process, including payment.
Both parents have to be there or have a form notarized with other parents ID photocopied of both sides. I think baby has to be there too
Can be done here
I know of at least 2 easily google-able they are very fast and efficient
Most certaintly it wil ecpidite the process
Yes
