Passport exp 03/01/21, Mexico travel on 3/25/21. Tried online appt program on the web and it shows no appt. Can you walk up and does it need to be within 3 days of travel? How early do you need to get in line?

I went thru this whole thing a couple weeks ago. They release appointments every day at 1am for two weeks out but there's only 8 slots per day so its difficult to get. I gave up and didn't go on the trip so I didn't try the 72 hours last minute thing but it seems sketch. I live nearby so I just showed up a couple times to talk to people. The whole passport agency is a total mess right now. Unless you have a doctor's note or death certificate of immediate family it's going to be really tough. Good luck

My flights on the 28th of March. Did you get any more answers? Also for the appointment time openings at 1am is that eastern standard time or Pacific? And are they taking absolutely no walk ins
