Been here a few times. There are so many lovely ways to get lost. I found it breathtaking. The park is well manicured and the restrooms are surprisingly spotless. I would 100 percent say this park is worth a visit. I really love the trails…..and the best part is that there are caves, I have no idea why caves are scary and intriguing but they are!

Staff was courteous, and the park was maintained and clean for the most part. Excellent literature on the park and all activities.
Mostly friendly campers.
Full hookup sites are very close together.
Sites without sewer offer more space.
Hiking trails were beautiful.
We personally always swim in the Meramec river. They are tons of different places on the river itself you can try. We would go down to one of the main access points they have in the park and then walk along the banks to a spot where no one was. That worked well for us.
They have penty of electric sites for campers and such. You can ask for water, electric, or both! And if you do not need either, you can ask for neither.
I don't think so, but on their website they show you prices of everything they have available. You could maybe call them beforehand and make reservations that way!
How much to get in. The park a d can you stay over night?

It's free to enter the park and enjoy the river and all the hiking areas they have day use picnic areas. They do have a small Lodge cabins & campsites for overnight stay.
For weddings, who do you talk to about having one there and who and when do you pay the money too? For weddings any specific rules on where they can take place in the park and any rules on decorations?

The office (near the entrance of the park) people can help you and collect the money.
When does the park open and close during Saturday's? My fiance and I want to come check out the park and see if it's the right place for us for our wedding.
I know that small dogs and cats were allowed at the cabins awhile back. Could we bring my rabbit along? He's neutered, litter trained and has an exercise pen he could stay in so he doesn't get into mischief!
You can have a wedding and reception there but not after Oct 31 because that's their off season. Theres a building you can rent out there too for a reception.
I'm honestly not sure about the picnic, but keep in mind that when you ask questions on this forum, you are asking other park visitors, not the park itself.
There are camping spots in the tent area that are extremely close if not right on the river. But if you're in a camper you can park along the edge of the river but it's raised it's more like you're overlooking it.
Yes there is a good place in tbe campground for kids to swim its shallow and the river slows down if you go through the campground and keep on the road it will take you to a small parking lot
I think you may be thinking about Don Robinson State Park which is another Great State park '-he invented a cleaning product Off and donated all his land and a fund for its care to Missouri to make a State Park !!!
