Fantastic location. Beautiful views. As the sun was setting we were on the water and there's just nothing like it.

On one side you have the beautiful lake, on the other side a breath taking cliff that towers above you. It's like standing in front of a Grand canyon wall. We had partial hook ups (water & electric). The only thing we didn't like was the location of the camp host's 5th wheel. We ended up behind it, so our view of the lake was partially blocked. They also had construction workers enlarging the camp grounds and putting in more spaces. We are already planning our next trip back there. The spaces are roomy with a covered patio, fire pit and a place for a tent if you wanted. Can't wait to go back

If you take the trail from grandpas pond and head over the rock dam and over by the cliffs, you can catch really big trout. I also see guys catching nice sized bass by bouncing their lures right off the cliff walls.
Dogs are definitely allowed. Make sure to clean up after them. If you need it, there are poop bags dispensers placed along the beach.
It's $10 for Utah State residents in $15 for out of state residence. Depending on the time of year you go will depend on how far you have to walk down to the lake and how the parking is. They have lots of rentals for jet skis and paddle boards.
You can park outside the park and walk for free, but you do need a Utah fishing license
So, Jeff says all skis allowed, but Brian says only sit downs-"So last year?". Kevin says yes, but its been awhile. We've ridden them there & at Sand Hollow. I was just checking to see if we can still ride them there. Ok, thank you, I appreciate the information.
Red Cliffs Recreation Area just north of the lake

I did a live video on insta, so yes, but the quality was so poor ...so not the best signal
Nop...
Average is probably around 100 with lots of days over 100.
Burning candles is against our current fire restriction
The park has 4 public restrooms, one of which is in the campground. All are open and regularly cleaned.
There is paid parking available, but you can also park along the side of the road (beware of no parking signs, you will get a ticket!) for free in certain areas. There is no entry fee.
No to power. Yes to generator.
There are obviously fish and birds, but if you get lucky, you can occasionally spot turtles in the creek. Unfortunately the reservoir is low enough that you can't go too deep into the creek.
Yes. There is plenty of room to set up a grill.
Dig Paddlesports is based inside the state park and had kayak and paddleboard rentals. Mad Moose Rentals also recently opened a small jetski location there.
Yes they are..
It's less busy than Sandhollow because the beaches are not as nice. However, it usually isn't so busy that I can't find a camping spot or piece of the beach when I want.
No problems check the Virgin River if you like that type of thing
I believe the gates close at 9
I know this is an old question but there are trails on the west side of the reservoir that allow you to get to the west dam and last time I was there you could walk across it.
We trout fish here ALL the time and its amazing fishing i pulled a 2 1/2 lb trout of there a couple times . Have never bass fished there
It is a state park with designated camp grounds. https://stateparks.utah.gov/parks/quail-creek/
Not sure exactly. We could see a bigger city across the lake from the campground that had hotels.
I can't think of a single artificial lure that will not catch a Lareg mouth. Poppers, Spinners, Jerkbaits, Crankbaits, Spinnerbaits, Stickbaits. Some good baits include crayfish, shad, and bluegill (where legal).
There are a lot of little fish that swim around the shallows, but other than that, I don't know much more.
No but they do have restrooms, water and covered picnic tables
Yes, nice sized ones. They have some bass tournaments held there also.
