We trout fish here ALL the time and its amazing fishing i pulled a 2 1/2 lb trout of there a couple times . Have never bass fished there
If you want to catch trout you need to go to Navajo ,Enterprise, kolob reservoirs unfortunately kolob Reservoir was drained in the fall all these reservoirs at a high elevation probably have ice on them at this time of year you can catch bass at Quail Creek and Sand Hollow is in the area as well
I go fishing there all the time. I have tried several different types and worms seem to work the best. Fishing close to shore has never been very good here, so if you have a way to get out a little further in some of the coves you will have better luck.
The lake has mostly bass in it. I am not a big fisherman, so check with the guys at Ace Hardware there in Hurricane they can help you. They also sell any tackle you will need.
