Residance here at Westhaven is amazing! Management has been consistent on follow ups making sure grounds are safe and we are happy! Also never to forget the great promptness of maintenance! Always doing an awesome job and being very careful with our personel belongings! We are truly blessed to have found this place we can call home!

Toured their facility in March, 2021, and everyone was not only welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable, but also extremely covid safe. I'm moving from Texas (a covid sh*t show) so this was a refreshing experience. We were able to see several units, and all of them were clean with no red flags. During our visit, we looked at a dozen different communities in Seattle and Olympia- Westhaven was the CLEAR winner :) Gisella gave our tour and made us feel like family. She also followed up promptly via phone and email, letting us know about potential rent specials that applied to our preferred floor plan and move in date. A week later, I spoke with Whitney on the phone who was so kind and patient when answering my ~1,000 questions. We move in April, and I can't wait!

I stay as a guest most nights because I drive my partner too and from work at the moment. And I generally genuinely feel lots of negative energy’s inside the apartment. I feel timid and on edge in the parking lot and realize it may just be that the community is very watchful and protective of these apartments. Not sure if I bring the vibes here or if there just plain weird but I’m curious to see if anyone else has this feeling about this place.... It does look lovely, I don’t hate it, I want to love it . . . 🙃💡 .... (edit) Well last time I came to the office to return a mans cane the way I was treated left me feeling a bit down on my esteem so thanks for the reply but I’d rather avoid management here thanks 😉.

Review from August 2020 (4 stars): After more staffing changes, the current property manager, Kara, has been very helpful and accommodating. She handles things when necessary, but allows residents the space and ability to life their lives independently. All interactions were friendly and helpful! We moved after 2 years due to the WSB being closed and planned construction projects; however, overall we enjoyed our time here. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 due to the way utilities are billed (cost-share). Often our utilities fluctuated in price, but averaged $150-200/month for W/S/G and trash for 2 people in a 1 bedroom apartment. In our new place, we are paying $95/month for 2 people in a 2 bedroom apartment for W/S/G and trash. However, this is specific to Greystar, not just Westhaven. However, overall, Westhaven is a beautiful property with decent apartments for a decent price. Updated Review from October 2019 (1 star): After another complete office change including property manager, assistant manager, and maintenance men, I am happy to report great new additions with our assistant manager, Brittany, and maintenance man, Dante! They are both very hardworking, kind individuals who take their job seriously and professionally. I wish I could say the same for our new property manager, Becca. She is hostile, aggressive, and rude just for the sake of it. She locks the front doors of the property office starting at 3 pm, even though the office is open until 6 pm, and is hostile when residents attempt to enter to ask questions or use amenities. My husband tried to turn in a set of keys he found in the parking lot and was asked what he expected her to do about the keys. When I tried to go into the office to ask about my amenity key not working in certain locks, she told me I have to access them through the office even though my lease allows access until at least 9 pm. When I asked about the reasoning, she said she didn't know why, but it had always been that way. I told her it had not and she responded with, "I don't know, I don't care. Go away," in an elevated voice. I now understand why there are so many vacant apartments and the maintenance men both quit; everyone we speak to is not renewing their upcoming lease and we are doing the same. It's a shame this new manager has to ruin the peaceful, friendly community. Review from January 2019 (5 stars): My husband and I moved to the Seattle area in August from Michigan where we lived in our last apartment for 4 years. We moved into Westhaven just as the new management was taking over and were nervous having toured with the previous manager a couple months prior. However, the longer we live here, the more we like it! Management has tackled major issues within the complex successfully such as trash being left outside doors, outrageous utilities, and security just to name a few. Our first utility bill under the old manager's system was $300 (water, sewer, gas) for 1 month and since the new system has been implemented, they've gone down to about $100/month! The old security company was ineffective and a new security company has been hired and seems to be much better! The amenities are wonderful and well-maintained! They include a year-round hot tub, seasonal swimming pool, and sauna. We haven't tried the sauna yet, but the pool and hot tub are fantastic! Bus stops are within walking distance and the location between West Seattle and White Center is the best! There are parking lots and street parking available, we have never not had a spot available somewhere. Work orders are fixed quickly and effectively by the friendly maintenance men. We had to put in only a handful of work orders since moving in, contrary to what the previous reviewer is saying. The apartments are updated and include patio storage, wood-burning fireplaces, a fantastic feature during the rainy Seattle winter, and a full-size washer and dryer. We have been so glad we chose Westhaven to be our home!
