I moved out of the Verve Apartments 5 months ago, and while I enjoyed my time living there due to the amenities and location, upper management is still a headache to deal with. The people themselves were generally polite and empathetic of issues, however things were rarely resolved. If there is ever an issue you have to deal with while living here (or after) you MUST be persistent. If not, everything will be written off and there will be absolutely no resolution. We had to reach out time and time again to finally get our washer fixed after it broke. There was mold growing in several of our windows due to "faulty seals" which was never even resolved - they simply offered to clean it for us with bleach. And now 5 months after moving out we still have not received our deposit or any explanation if we're unable to get it back. Management continues to say "we'll look into it". If you don't mind issues not being resolved, or are an incredibly persistent person, you will have no problem living here.

Is the view amazing from this building? Yes. Is it a luxury apartment? No. I moved into this apartment for the location. It's close to several tech companies, and some good restaurants. (Since it's a vibrant location, you also have loud sirens waking you up a few nights per week- bring earplugs.) The apartments get hot in the summer, and the one A/C port (A/C isn't included) doesn't fit standard air conditioners, so you still end up sticking hoses out windows. Additionally, many tech companies are working from home now, so location doesn't matter as much anymore. The pros: 1. Some great neighbors, and very cute dogs 2. The view from the roof is stunning 3. The apartments are fashionable and modern, and the appliances that came with the apartment haven't needed any repairs The cons: 1. Management is not good. General consensus among residents is "they don't care", "they're condescending", and "nothing really ever gets fixed". The manager is apathetic, and when he says he'll "get back to you", he won't. 2. 10 minute repairs will take a week to get fixed, as there is always some huge, urgent problem grabbing the one repair person's attention. 3. We've been promised security cameras in the lobby, but they probably aren't happening, and one office worker said they probably wouldn't check them even if they had them because they wouldn't show much. Apartments in this price range should have an actual security guard, anyway, as many of them do. 4. Things are FREQUENTLY stolen, and no one at the office is going to help. Residents have reported stolen boxes of food, stolen computers from common areas, and stolen Amazon packages. I've had several boxes stolen from the mail room or opened with items missing from them. The office people say "contact the sender for a refund" or "why not write up a police report" or "we'll eventually have cameras down here". 5. The rental agreements are inflexible, which seems to be a trend with big businesses that own multiple properties. In the times of COVID, people prefer more flexible arrangements- who knows what the next year will bring? 6. The front door is always locked, even during office hours, and there's no security person to buzz people in. If you lose your key, you're out of luck. If you're busy when someone buzzes you on the intercom, you aren't getting your package delivered. Overall, this is a nice apartment building with unhelpful owners. You can look at the management company's website and know what kind of company they are. They own a ton of buildings and properties throughout Seattle, and are in it for the money. They might just learn that these apartments aren't worth the price for location alone.

I am not a resident but my review is based on the experience of trying to lease an apartment here. Reached out to them through several channels. All communication attempts went unanswered. All phone calls will go straight to voicemail and they will never revert. If that's the experience when you are trying to lease, imagine how it will be if you have get something fixed once you are a tenant!

I lived at this property for one year and I only have good things to write about. The management is really helpful, considerate and they make you feel at home. The apartments also have good sound proofing. The building offers great amenities like beautiful city views from the roof, nice relaxing lounge, monthly events organized by the management etc. My only concern was the fire siren noise from time to time. I got used to it in a few weeks, but if you are a light sleeper that's something to know about.
