Recycling >>What a joke. Raising prices on recycling and seen dumping bin in the garbage side of truck more than once. Very undependable . Arrives 1-2 days after scheduled pick up date. We canceled our recycling service as have many of our neighbors. Paying for recycling ? Fuel has recently dropped. Never had that in Walton County. Double dipping. I suggest canceling your recycling service and send them a message as we have in our neighborhood. Why pay to recycle when they are reselling the reclaimed materials and using the same truck for garbage service. What a racket. Save your money.! Only service available. Local government approving this company for our area. A shame.

Customer Service Fail!!! WE have neighbors all around us that have had extra bags of garbage next to their can and they are picked up. I have watched the truck stop and gather them up. Spoke with our Neighbors and they are not paying anything extra or asked for anything extra. Called today and was TOLD they can ONLY do this if i pay $20.00 per PU. WOW!

This company is absolutely horrible go with any Trash Service besides Red Oak Sanitation their customer service is trash and their drivers don't care they leave trash out to the neighborhood and they refuse to pick up any other trash than what is in the can pretty sad they would rather leave it on the side of the road and pick it up

I've been with this company about 10 months. I've been missed pick up 16 times. When I call it's we will look into it. Cause driver stats he picked up. Nope I'm sitting here looking at it. LOUI THE supervisor told me today that it will Friday now. This is unacceptable. Will be calling some where eles tomorrow. I wish I could have put no star. Wish I could post a picture here to show

Same here. I have also emailed 3 times now and no one is responding to me. I am about to cancel the service.
If they were mobbed up like the Sopranos, maybe I could count on them to at least collect my payment. I've tried and tried to get them to accept payment and transfer service from the company they bought out so I have no alternatives. That said, they were very prompt in taking the trash can after failing to respond to my calls text or email. They seem to care more about the cans than the customers.
It likely wouldn't matter. They don't seem to answer any of their other phone numbers, or their email, or their text messages.
I wish I could say the same. They bought out the other company that offered service in my neighborhood and I haven't been able to reach them by phone, text or email since. The only communication I've had from them was an automated message the payment I had made several attempts to contact them about was past due. When I tried to call back their phones were out of service and the next day they took my trashcan.
3 weeks? I got much faster response when they took my can after only a week or so of calling, emailing and texting them to try to give them my money. Clearly they value those trash cans much more highly than they do their customers.
I called the number to let them know they missed and was told a truck would be back that day. No truck, so I called again the next morning and was told a truck would be by the next business day. I asked if a smaller truck could pick up bc I didn't want to get in trouble with my HOA, was told no to just wait.

Ms. Mintz, we do not find your name in our system. Please contact the office for assistance. It is important to know that Red Oak takes what fits inside the trash cart and only 3 extra bags that are outside the cart. There are also parameters on how the trash must be contained, for instance, all trash must be bagged and the bags closed. I welcome you to contact the office with your address and someone will assist you.
Tough to say. People do weird things on line. I tried to transfer my trash pickup to Red Oak Sanitation after they bought the competition in my neighborhood. Those goofballs posted phone numbers on their website that they don't answer or return calls to and email addresses they don't respond to. Crazy stuff these pranksters get up to online! I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear someone posted a false claim about receiving customer service from this company.

Valerie Watson, all routes were serviced correctly on Tuesday, December 19th. Those that did not have their carts out when the trucks went through their community will have to contact the office directly either by calling 678-455-7819 and scheduling the scout truck, or by texing the same number 678-455-7819 and scheduling a call back to arrange the extra service. All clients are required to have their carts out the night before their service day to avoid service days. All clients accounts too, must be current to receive service as well. Those that claim their trash is regularly missed should contact the office to insure proper payments have been applied to their accounts.
They don't like wood to go in your trash cans at your home so what you do with it after that is up to you

Eleanor, Please contact the office directly regarding your concern with this situation. Red Oak is a hauler and all haulers ask that residents have thier bulk item prepared for removal. Glass doors should be removed and bagged to prevent them from falling off when the crew lifts them 4 feet to be placed in the truck. Because you are throwing this junk away, I doubt the doors were safely secured and prepared for removal. Red Oak does not have the ability, nor the time to clean up all residual debris at the curb, but they do their best with what they have to work with. This is an accident that could have been avoided if properly prepared. The responsibility the crew has is to show up, and remove the items, which for example is why Red Oak provides a cart for trash. We would hope that the customer would assist in the responsibility of safe guarding their own curbside, and be an active participant in their disposal process.

Red Oak, as well as, every other residential sanitation hauler no longer recycles glass in many of the metro Atlanta counties. The recycling processing centers no longer accept glass, thus, are no longer recycle it. Please however, remove the lids on your glass containers and recycle them.

I love seeing all the comments about the caller queue. I've had the lines down when I've tried to call. I've had it not respond to my selection. I've had it route me to a voice mail box where messages aren't returned. For all that, I can't really blame the caller queue, though, because you won't respond to email or texts either.

I would strongly suggest you consider another company other than Red Oak. Their customer service has dropped considerably. Do not know why, but it has. I am switching to another company. They continually miss picking up our garbage.
Latex Paints Add equal parts cat litter to latex paint in the can. If you have more than a half a can, you can also pour the paint into a lined box. Then pour in cat litter. Stir the cat litter into the paint until it thickens and will not spill. Allow the mixture to sit for one hour. Throw the dried paint in the can in the garbage. Make sure to remove the lid. If you don't have much paint left in the can, you can just remove the lid and let the paint dry out on its own. Make sure that it's in a location where small children or pets can't get to it. Oil-Based Paints Oil-based paints are considered hazardous waste and must be taken to a recycling center. Look for a recycling center in your area to safely dispose of your latex and oil-based paints. Consider donating your paint to a community center, charity, place of worship, local theater or Habitat for Humanity ReStore. They're often working on projects with a limited budget and could use the extra supplies.
Please do not flush your medications as it gets into the water system. Take them to the police or fire dept. They have boxes that will go to the appropriate place for disposal.

Yes, you are only allowed 1 (household) bulk item per week, but they may take both at once if you ask when you call. You have to call at least 1 day ahead of pickup & they usually ask that there is no rain (for weight reasons I assume)
They can barely pick up trash
Don't worry. Find another company. RED OAK is awful. We just cancelled them. They miss pickups and still charge you.
Their Facebook page says they are operating on a holiday schedule, so if your pickup is normally Friday, it will be on Saturday this week. (I'd still put it out like normal - Thursday night - given this company's consistency at not being consistent with pickup or communication or anything, really, except raising the price each year.)
You need to call and ask. Each area is different.
