The hotel is nicer than what I expected. Normally I like to get 4 star hotels or more. I actually hadn’t realized I booked the Holiday Inn. I did a Priceline deal where you get surprised at the end with your purchase. It wasn’t until the day prior that I looked and saw it was the Holiday Inn. I was disappointed at first. My thought was cheap motel vibe, so I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was. It had a 32” flat screen TV with a swivel head. It had microwave, fridge, keurig, chair and ottoman, large writing desk, really beautiful bathroom with extra large walk in shower and very comfortable king sized bed with very lovely modern decor. It even had some bath and body work travel sized items in the bathroom. The air conditioner worked fine in my room and the pool was pretty decent. My only negative review would be that there were a couple of unleashed dogs. When I was leaving one morning, there was a unleashed golden retriever that ran up to me in the hallway. I love dogs and he was friendly and I petted him but you can’t always assume that your dog might not bite a stranger. It’s really irresponsible to have him running loose in a hotel with other guests. When I came back to the hotel, and was getting on the elevator, two kids came off with two dogs. They had a mastiff on a leash that they could barely control and cocker spaniel the little boy was holding unleashed. The cocker spaniel was desperately trying to jump out of his arms. The Mastiff came right up to me sniffing while I tried maneuver around to make space for them to get through. I guess I did not expect to have so many run ins with dogs at a hotel. Other than that, there were a lot of great restaurants in the area and my husband I really enjoyed our stay. We were doing a staycation just to get away from the house for the holiday weekend.

Positive: No air conditioning! there was air conditioning in the room, but I turned it to the lowest setting and it didn¿t cool for hours. Staff-Not there. Literally heard a group of employees complaining, but every time I went to the front desk no one was Negative: 1 - No AC 2 - No help from staff - They were not at all helpful with everything that was broken. 3 - No ice in ice machines. NONE on all 4 floors!!!! 4 - The air smell terrible! I wanted to leave as soon as I got there. Maybe it's cleaning prod

Positive: 2 comfortable queen beds. Bath tub. W shower. Nice a/c which you need In Texas this week. Hot breakfast. Tv with HBO. Negative: New desk staff was talked down to by another staff member in front of guests. Not couth to do that esp in public. Hotel employee was very nice and apologetic about needing assistance. We've all been new staff before. She's a good employee!!!
