Very bad service how can you rent cars that you doing have and make everybody wait 2hours for a car no good. Never againg

We have the booking and came in for work. The primary on the car rental was my co-worker and I was told I should put myself on there as an additional driver so I told the woman who checked us in. The only thing she did was say I'll take your driver's license and it's a very end of the car rental she said sign here. So I did do you know what that woman did? She doubled the charge. So now instead of paying $450 my company has to pay $900 simply because she said nothing to me. I find that to be so underhanded and unbelievable what a terrible business practice she didn't say read the big long contract she said nothing about the price. What is even worse is we were only doing it just in case I needed to drive I never drove. I expected there to be some kind of small surcharge but to double the cost of the rental and the insurance for 5 days is incomprehensible. What's worse is it was all done at my work. So my recommendation is if you need to rent a car for work you do it elsewhere if you have more than one driver this is as underhanded and fraudulent scheme as I have ever seen. And when our admin assistant tried calling she was told nothing we can do because I signed. So apparently Thrifty has no problem with this practice.

Unbelievable. Arrived At 9:00pm. Line was 30 deep with one counter person. Then two came out and One left. The employees were so slow. There was not one bit of urgency. They didn’t care ther people were waiting ove an hour. . Finally did the paperwork and then waited outside for another 20 minutes. They had to switch out my car because of low tire pressure. Worst car rental experience ever. And I prepaid Just what I needed after flying across country all day. Thanks thrifty for that experience. Is that the kind of experience you want your customers to have. How would you like to deal with this pitiful operation Now an hour drive. Here’s what’s in store for you. This. Place. Is. A. Nightmare. What can I say that hasn't already been said? Long wait for the shuttle. Loooong line once you get to the place. No sense of urgency, or even care for the people waiting. I've definitely learned my lesson. Read the reviews before agreeing to rent a car. And you clearly get what you pay for. There's a reason that renting a car from here is inexpensive.

It would probably be easier to rent the car with her. Have her complete the transaction ans add you as a co-driver.

I am renting a car this weekend and found out that it's 16.00 per day for their EZ pass. No extra fees. I hope this helps.

Wasn't my experience. Staff was helpful and friendly. I departed on a Sunday morning, airport terminal was hectic. Sent passengers to wrong TV line. However, was on the spot. Bus Waited for me to process return of ticket. Slowed down to pickup possible passenger not at stop yet. Arrival was just as smooth. I imagine the Rental Agency Gods were with me.
I believe you can request the type of car (compact, midsized, etc), but not a specific car model/make.
For Thrifty I think you have to have some sort of travel itenary like a roundtrip flight or train ticket because when I first rented a car from them I wanted to only use my debit card but they said I needed a major credit card for the security hold but at the end of the rental I could use my debit card for payment. Payless rental allows you to rent a vehicle with a debit card however the security hold amount is higher. Also check with Enterprise. I was able to rent a car there with just a debit card but that was back in 2010. If all else fails you can download the TURO app and rent a car. It's basically regular people looking to make extra money by renting their own vehicles out without the need of a credit card or a security deposit. Hope this helps..
They need to contact your bank etc. to get some type of approval. When I was there over Christmas, they didn't have a card reader/ approval ability that would let you use your debit card as a credit card.

Yes, but you loose some perks. If you have a visa card, they only hold a small security amount (really small amount). If you use your debit card it's a few hundred on hold. It's the corporate policy, not the location that makes the rules.
It's good to have so your toll gets deducted and you can pass quickly it's like a toll card
You will need your airline tickets showing that you are flying on the same day you return the car if using a debit card.
I just found out (as I was dropping off a car) this location closes at midnight. I don't recall the time they open. I would also suggest calling the location directly because the toll free number has given me incorrect information in the past.
