The team was fun to see the sights. 2000' higher than parking. Thrilling increase in height. Oncoming tram pictured.

Wow! Our village bedroom was beautiful! Nice full kitchen, living area, and the bed was super soft. Our view was right over the plaza. Check for events! We were there for a fall festival. We watched a concert from our patio.

Squaw valley is one of the best place to ski in Tahoe. Great coverage and awesome variety of runs. There is something for everyone here ! Great views of the lake too
Early morning to midday snow is good. No crowds!
They are hoping to get it ready by this upcoming Winter season
If you are looking to go for skiing or snowboarding you can still go even f the snow is light... They have all set up there with some mix of artificial snow...
I would rent an all-wheel drive absolutely. we were there two weeks ago and there was a little bit of snow that ended on Sunday. Monday we went on route i-80 and got stopped in a chain control traffic jam because there was snow in the pass. They checked every single car for chains or all-wheel drive and if you didn't have all-wheel drive they made you get off. It was a pretty scary drive. Definitely rent all-wheel drive.
Yes I believe so ik for sure that their open on the 14th
I would go to the website and look to refund it. I am not sure on this but i believe you can get part of what the ticket cost. I went to the website if you got the insurance for then it is completely refundable if you just Google Ikon pass cancellation it will bring you to "Trip Preserver Online Claims"
Not that i know of. Ski resorts are closed.
March miracle this year! 12 ft since March 1. There should be April skiing and riding this year.
No
At squaw creek in Olympic valley they have cross country skiing around the golf course during winter.
Sorry friend, I don't know why I was there 3 weeks ago and it had hardly snowed very little.
Closed. Outdoor seating available at some eateries in the village and Starbucks at the top of the Funitel
I don't believe you can rent snowmobiles on the mountain. However you may be able to at The Resort at Squaw Creek nearby or at local companies in Truckee. Most likely need to be 18 to operate one but should be able to ride with an adult.
There's a village with restaurants and shops, as well as hotels. Also, large uncovered parking lot.
No I don't believe there is. I know it goes from Squaw to Alpine and you have to take TART ta and from Truckee and Tahoe City.
130 I think
You should sell those pretty quick in squaw valley
Best bet might be a travel service that has both in a package. Look on line, it ask a travel agency. Good luck?
Flume trail.
The information you are looking for can be found on: https://squawalpine.com/about-us/hours-operation In short, lifts are open every day until Memorial Day.
Yes they are planning to stay open for skiing/boarding until July I believe!
One lesson doesn't make a snowboarder out of a child. A regular lesson program works best. Some sports, like snowboarding and skiing, are similar to learning how to play a musical instrument. You will only get a taste of what it is like, rarely accomplishing much more.
Pets are allowed in Squaw Village and must be leashed. No dogs are allowed at any restaurants unless they are a certified service dog.
They have 2 stores at the village that I know of, one ia from the resort. The price is a bit higher as expected, but it's super convenient. I highly recommend checking out the stores on the way to the resort, because they are cheaper and also have a good selection to choose from.
I have seen them for rent in South Tahoe ski shops. Not sure about Squaw
Winter season most years they can keep it open until the 4th of July.
Yes, in fact, there are stores for dogs and the people here love dogs!
The whites used to call the women in the valley as SQAW(which means women in algonquian language)..So the name sqaw valley
There is a museum where you can find old pictures of the place but there are only open from june to september.
I don't work there. But there was no snow yet.
Could start towards the end of the Nov but iffy . Jan - Feb better bet
No there isn’t
As posted above they closed the lifts on Memorial Day. You might be able to hike up and ski down, but you'd have to do it first thing in the morning and bring rock skis. So likely no.
I believe they are closing the lifts next weekend. There will be some snow, should be great hiking!
The construction works for the tram that runs to the airport are still going on.
Yes
Most likely
Most runs are well labeled. You will always see an "easiest way down" too.
The top of granite Chief is 9050 ft goes what is called Mountain Run down to 6200 feet at the village believe is what you're looking for the longest run
a
Yes, the Funitel (aerial tram) to high Camp is beautiful, and gets you a great view of Lake Tahoe from atop. Also, the Olympic museum and history around the place is worth visiting. There's a hot tub and pool at high Camp too which is great to complement the snow all around. There's live music on weekends and quite a few good restaurants.
No, unless you're putting the kids in ski school. But there is a huge area close to the top of the mountain, with a lot of wide, easy hills, perfect for kids and beginners.
At Squaw Valley you want to take the Tram. It takes you to the top- High Camp. Great for non skiers with a Lake view, restaurants, bars, pool, skating etc..
Go to "the Y", which is the intersection where TJ Maxx is, and go up the West side of the lake past Emerald Bay on Hwy. 89. Turn into Squaw in Tahoe City.
No cost to park. No real snow play area. They would discorage you from being on the hill with the skiers
An hour and a half max. If storming can be closed for periods. So make sure to plan accordingly. If clear up to an hour and a half. If snowing moderately 2 hours and if major dump 3 to 5 inches per hour and it will happen , dont plan on going anywhere.
Lifts start taking passengers at 9am most days. You should always check conditions and scheduled operations on their website though.
Depends on season...skiing from 9-4, restaurants and bars open until 2.
Sqauw valley has few hikes but are closed during winters due to snow. Mountains height are from 6200 feet (base) to 9050 feet (peak). Beautiful place to be on snowny day and one of the best places for skiing.
You'll need to be more specific, as there are many different areas in Squaw Valley that may be hiring.
