Yes, the Funitel (aerial tram) to high Camp is beautiful, and gets you a great view of Lake Tahoe from atop. Also, the Olympic museum and history around the place is worth visiting. There's a hot tub and pool at high Camp too which is great to complement the snow all around. There's live music on weekends and quite a few good restaurants.
The scenery is beautiful, which gives lots to do for photography and sight seeing. There are shops and restaurants as well, so shopping is option too.
I saw some snow tubing and even 4 wheeling in Squaw valley too. If I wasn't there to ski I would probably be doing that fun stuff!
Yes, there are plenty of restaurants, shops - at the top and bottom of the mountain. Also, if you're an avid photographer, you can take the gondola up and down to capture the perfect photos! On the weekends, they have live bands. Be sure to check out their event schedule. They have fireworks certain months as well.
