At Squaw Valley you want to take the Tram. It takes you to the top- High Camp. Great for non skiers with a Lake view, restaurants, bars, pool, skating etc..
We caught the gondola to the Ritz, no cost, pets were everywhere.
The gondola at Squaw was $48 per adult. I didn't see anyone with a dog though, and depending on time of day and snow conditions, it cam be jam packed.
I think so! Call the Ritz Carlton to find out for sure. They have a privately owned gondola. This will save you ski pass $.
