Maverik Adventure's First Stop

It took 3 people 30 minutes to do a shift change with people standing in line. Even the one in my little town was faster than this. Why not have one rotate in and do the drawer, when they are done, have the person clock out. It ain't that hard. Instead, they stood around talking for 15 minutes while I stood there waiting in line. Whoever is the manager needs to talk to the people working graveyards. Short haired girl and taller guy. The one with blonde hair came in and immediately started doing her drawer and was able to help 5 mins after she started... after I had already been there for 30-45 minutes.

Canceling my nitro card after today immediately. Every time I come here there are always transients wondering the parking lot and other undesirables. Well today one of then was getting violent in the parking lot asking for handouts from people pumping gas, including me. He came all the way up to the driver's side of my car... I never will come here again or let my wife come here or let my children within 100 miles of this hole. Adventures first stop ends here

I took my kiddos to Maverick with me to get some breakfast burritos and Cinnabons. The steak burrito is by far better than any “fast food” burrito I have ever had. Usually there are several breakfast options in the hot case, ready to grab. Today there was nothing in there. But the little kitchen area was open so we asked the girl behind the counter if she could make some breakfast items. She gladly said she would. We ended up getting 2 steak burritos, 2 breakfast sandwiches with English muffins, and a breakfast taco. We also had to pick some stuff up for my father, so between our drinks, snacks for gramps, and Cinnabons, our hands were full. We paid while the food was being prepared. As we were walking out to the car to put the stuff in there and come back in for the breakfast nummies, we heard a “WAIT!” from behind us. I looked back and Denise, who was the cook making our food, had all of our food and bright it to us! She saw us struggling to get everything out to the car and wanted to help. I feel like she went out of her way to help us! You don’t see that much anymore, especially at a gas station. Denise most definitely made our entire day! As we are newer to Spokane, I had never been to a Maverick before. I had a work friend tell me to try their breakfast. I thought he was crazy, but he told me “once you try their breakfast burrito, you will never like any other gas station food again.” Needless to say, we tried it and now we are hooked. Even their coffee is good, with different blends and creamers. The best part of all is the scent of fresh Cinnabon cinnamon rolls as you walk in. Thank you Maverick, and Denise, for going above and beyond!!

This Maverik is super clean and the stuff is very friendly, Marco is incredibly nice and helpful, I couldn’t recommend it more.
