Just wanted to comment on the last or first comment that was made about not happy faces. It's more of a cultural difference in Eastern Europe people don't generally smile to strangers passing by on the street. It thought of more genuine to strike up a conversation and talk about real issue not ask empty "how are you" when not expecting a real response how a person really feels at that time. It's just cultural and most older folks are set in their ways as in other cultures in the world. A smile is generally reserved when its genuinely meant. And hospitality true. as with everything people are a work in progress and are not perfect. :)

My husband and i were guests at the Pilgrim Slavic Baptist Church a few weeks ago, and truly felt God's spirit during the music and words spoken. We saw beautiful families all around us, and felt very welcome, even though we don't speak Russian and listened through a translator.
