I have lived in FL for a total of about 18;years and never knew this amazing place was less than a 2 hour drive from home. I also didn't exactly know what Bok Tower was, and had no idea that music come out of the Tower at certain times of the day. For a simplified explanation, the Tower houses a series of 60 bells that play tunes by a single person using a type of keyboard. The gardens are stunning and I really enjoyed walking the grounds. The visitors center has great information on the man who had the Tower built, and a lot of details on the Tower. The Tower itself was not open to the public but twice daily they have someone performing a concert that was about 30 min long. I highly recommend this place!!!

Absolutely loved it! So much so that I purchased a membership, which grants you either free admission or 50% off admission to about 50 gardens or history centers throughout FL. A regular annual membership is $60 but it’s only $30 for students. Bok Tower Gardens is well-kept, with a wonderful variety of greenery and plenty of places to sit & enjoy. There were a lot of people picnicking and napping. Definitely worth the trip. Bring some snacks and a blanket and you can easily spend a few relaxing hours here.

Very serene and beautiful garden escape from the city. We had a great time on our relaxing stroll along the many paths they have to walk. Lots of flowers, shrubs, and trees that have labels to let you know what you’re admiring. The tower “sings” at various points throughout the day when they have someone playing the bells (they even have a live viewing area that you can sit and watch the player play). Highly recommend this place if you’re in the Orlando/Tampa area!

Exquisite park. Wander around the beautiful grounds... admire the plants, the views, the incredible bell tower. And don't forget to have lunch at the Cafe on premises. Great food. The children's area is extremely well thought out. A fun area for kids of any age!

Cost for scooter
The highest point in Florida is in the panhandle. Britton Hill has an elevation of 345 feet above sea level.
How much does it cost total to get in?
Yes. Saw people eating at benches in kids garden, and tables and pavilions all over
It's a national registry of historical places but not a national park
Yes you can. My gf and I always pack a picnic basket and cooler with wine to relax in the gardens.
Yes. A $5 entrance fee for them and they need to be on a 6 foot or shorter leash at all times
Policy changed in August. Dogs allowed on short lead for a $5 fee at gate.
Yes they accept visa MasterCard discover debit card and cash
There is always something in bloom but early spring would be the best time
You can go almost everywhere in a wheelchair
I believe that you can take all photos for free. You may just have to worry about others taking pictures in the spots you want.
They give you discounts in the gift shop, flower shop, etc !
They did a demo in the outdoor kitchen just this past weekend. It was advertised on their events page. Not sure how often they're doing them, though.
Admission for dogs is $5 per animal per day. All dogs must remain on a leash during their visit and will not be permitted inside Hammock Hollow, Pinewood Estate, the Blue Palmetto Cafe or the Shop at Bok. Family Memberships and above include free admission for pups!
No but, if you buy their Membership you can go to other parks for a lower price or for free. I think it depends on what membership.
Yes, there's a $5 fee and you should bring bags, water bowl, and water (though they have some on property). It's a great place to being your pup.
Yes there is a very nice restaurant that has all kinds of different items and alcoholic beverages to choose from
They actually have a tram that goes around the park. You can walk as much or as little..... 💓
Yes. You can have a dog on a leash. Dogs have their own admission fee.
It's 15 dollars per adult. No parking fee. You can also buy lunch at a nice cafe, and there's a small exhibit. They sell annual passes that includes other places.
Loads of shaded areas especially at the tower. Good view of the area as well
Yes and In remembrance of those who have fallen protecting this country’s freedom. Free admission with valid ID offered to all military veterans
Yes they do call them for details
Concerts are at 1 and 3 and short selections are played on the half hour.
Just asked. Dogs are allowed for a $5 gate fee. This changed in August.
Front entrance closes at 5 pm, park closes at 6. Congrats on the engagement❣
Bok Tower Gardens is a popular National Historic Landmark and has been voted Florida's Best Garden. Pets are not allowed in the Gardens, however there is a "pet pen" where well-behaved, quiet pets may stay while their humans visit the Gardens. Bok Tower Gardens describes their pet pens as "open-air, chain-link, enclosed, and unattended with what available (you will have to provide a water bowl)." Arrangements for the pet pens must be made at the Tower & Garden Gift Shop. There is a $10 charge to use a pen, $4.65 of which is refundable upon return of the lock. There are only two pet pens available for use, so please contact the Gift Shop prior to arrival to ensure availability for your visit.
Great, but not the right place to ask
Indeed, there is plenty of room to park but getting in and out could be tight depending on the size of your rig. The road curves as it comes out of the admission gate.
1945? I think. Dinner party. Cute kitchen, decorated for a kids hunt.
Membership for two is actually pretty cheap, only $75 for the whole year. Great deal if you are local.
There is a cement path that goes all the way around that allows you to see almost everything. Then there are dirt trails that might or might not be great for wheelchairs.
Hi. You don't need reservations to get in or to the bells Concert. The only thing with a line is to enter the estate "el retiro" but all the other places like the garden, Kitchen garden, hammock hollow, etc just walk and enjoy. There's a restaurant at the entry or you can picnic as well.
I'd suggest checking rates online but there is a Hampton Inn on 27 and Budget Inn on 60.
I was there a a few days ago and it seemed pretty vibrant except for the endanger plant section. All the plants seemed completely bare.
Sorry no housing on the grounds. If your worth around 10 million you can apply to buy a place in mountain lake estates, its right around the corner.
You can get around in a motorized scooter. As a matter of fact, they have motorized seats you can rent to get around in if you don't want to walk. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly.
Yes.
If you posted to Google maps, you will get an email. If you have emailed Bok Tower personally, might be a couple of days to hear back.
Use a AAA card and save $3/person on admissions.
$15 Per Person. Plan to bring a picnic by the tower.
Not sure, however thanks to Wawa there is free admission on the last Friday of every month through September 2021.
Yes to both questions. They have power chair rentals for $10/hrs, $30/half day, and $60/full day. They have traditional wheelchair free of charge. Both are on a first come first serve basis. I would recommend a power chair though because some of the paths have some steepness to them.
The office doesn't open until 9am
Yes, they must be on a leash and you must pick up their waste and dispose of it.
I would expect so, since dogs are. There is a $5 fee for their admission. I'm not sure it's a good idea though, since there are quite a few dogs in the gardens.
Yes. Certain times. Check their website or ask for specific times when entering.
I will recommend, since everywhere you you rules and regulations are subject to change, they are very helpful and you will find the location perfect for a photoshoot.
Yes
As the others have said, mask is required. The website states "All visitors are required to have a mask and it must be worn when arriving at the entrance gate, at The Visitor Center complex, when interacting with Bok Tower Gardens staff, and inside interior spaces." Boktowergardens.org
That is very cool. I am not a collector so I would like to save that for someone who might be. Thank you so much for the offer.
Parking is free. Membership is a bargain so check out joining rather than paying a per entrance fee.
The bells sound the hour, prerecorded. " Concerts " are scheduled, usually with special events, such as the recent candlelight gardens.call or go online for next show.
Yes. We left our dog at home because we were not sure, but saw several people with their dogs.
Adult admission is $15, Children (ages 5-12) $5, children under 5 are free, Dogs are $5. Reciprocal admission for participating gardens and cultural institutions will be offered.
We just did a few weeks ago. I think you pay todays admission (15 per adult i think) then the membership ad on is 45.00 I think at the guest services desk
It opens at 8 oclock ☺& closes at 6 oclock☺
I didn't pay a fee to park and did not notice any fees for parking on holidays.
Beautiful place well worth the visit. Around 1.5 hours
It's a shuttle and also they have electric carts to rent. I don't see a fee on the site for the shuttle. I would call to verify
No, don't think so. Half price on Saturday am 8 to 9
I believe they do but to make sure you can call them to see...
Miguel, I did not see a station, but they may have one available. It would be worth a call.
I do not know off hand. I will ask my daughter in law. It cost to park and to get In. Unless you are with a group that has prepaid or you know someone that can get you in free otherwise I believe it cost.
Parking is free - there is an entrance fee which varies in price depending on what you're planning to do. Adult base price is $15...
There are different prices according to whether you want to do the house & garden or just garden. The garden is $15 for an adult.
I'm not sure about that but you can call the visitors center...
It's a beautiful place especially the Old Buck home when decorated for Christmas but I haven't been there for a couple of years. Sorry I am no help for your questions. Enjoy
When I went there they didn't offer a student discount I only saw a discount for Senior and children and I didnt saw a trail going towards the orange grove but to be sure you can always call them the staff is very friendly
No but they have several discounts available online if you join for a year.
It was $10 for children and $20 for adults. If you're a veteran or senior citizen there's a significant discount I can't remember what it was. But we had two adults two children and it end up costing us $45
No you can not go into tower. VIP only and by appointment
It's happening today
Not sure but if you become a member that membership gets to into SO many attractions over the country! Heinz history center (much more than ketchup) in Philadelphia, for example!
i believe so. but ask first. the staff is super friendly.
Yes it is, I was there last week with my dog. From their website: "Well-behaved canine guests are welcome and must be on a maximum 6ft. leash at all times while on property. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and for any damage caused by their pets."
Yes free...check website for hours of operation. Have Fun...& Happy 4th!
Not at the gardens themselves, but there are several campsites in the Lake Wales area
To my knowlege, the Tower itself is not accessible to the public. Bok Tower grounds has a fee of $15 per person (they have a seperate charge for pets). Then the house tour has an additional charge.
You can find everything here https://boktowergardens.org/
Yes at the gift shop only.
https://boktowergardens.org/
If living in the area the two of us got a year's pass for for two for $75.00 after your third trip you are ahead of the game by $15.00 and then go anytime without a second thought on the cost
We went in April, it was gorgeous
https://boktowergardens.org/hours-prices-directions/
The carillon, or concert, is usually 1pm and 3pm. There are also chimes on the hour and half hour. It's all very lovely and beautiful!
Right now the Azaleas are absolutely stunning. Go soon if you want to see at their peak. Take the long walk all around the garden from Visitors center, past the Children's Garden, past the entrance to Pinewood Estate, up to the Japanese pavilion. So many people just walk up to the Carillon Tower. Camellias are out too and many others.
Look for Carillion music on YouTube
Kids love the whole place. There's wonderment around every corner!
This place is with going to it is absolutely beautiful breathtaking and a lot of history
There are paved paths and mulched paths. It's the highest point in peninsular Florida, so great drainage. There are also hiking paths that could get muddy when it rains, but if you're into hiking in the rain, a little mud won't bother you. :)
The gardens have ramps everywhere. The house does not have does accomodations.
Mondays are great. I have the annual pass. Reciprocity with most FLORIDA gardens if you are a FL resident
$15 for Bok Tower Gardens. Go to boktowergardens.org for more information.
They don't have individual carts but they have wheelchairs and carts that will drive several people around at once if you have mobility issues
It is included and paid for in the ticket price upon entry to the property.
On the brochure it says "open 365 days year" but it's always good to double check.
It wasn't terrible. I am sure during peak bloom times it would be better, but it was good. Very relaxing and peaceful. Not many people when I was there, but that is what I like. It was still beautiful and I saw plenty flowers.

Contact the people at https://boktowergardens.org and have your questions answered
So it not 15 dollar it 16 dollar now
It depends on each individual and the speed with which one walks. At least two hours.
There really is such a large variety of plants, flowers, trees, bushes and vegetation that I have never been disappointed when I visit at different times of the year.
I would think call them in advance before you go
I could be wrong but I think it's free for children under 5
There is an admission fee seniors have a discount. This is not a national park it is a private garden with natural Florida scrub land.
Yes there are. There is also stroller rentals. They have the coolest strollers I've ever seen. They are almost like a wheel barrel and a tricycle all at the same time. The wheel chairs are the regular and I believe they have electric ones too but don't quote me on it
I believe the parking lot for the garden may be able to accommodate a mobile home. Always best to call and see what they recommend
You can Google for answer probably? It was crowded and a beautiful place to visit.
Wheelchairs are available free. Mobility carts are available for rent.
No parking fee I don't know about Guest fee
Once you pay to get in, the children's garden is included. It is wonderful! We spent several hours there a few weeks ago. Plan to spend a good portion of time there as there is so much to explore!
Your best bet is to call the gift shop. They should be able to help you.
Date 4/1 Gates open at 6am. Service is at 7am @ the singing tower Free admission until 8 am
Never heard of that. Better call to inquire.
Unfortunately, only service dogs are allowed. 2 days a year it is open to our 4-legged friends. They announce on website calendars.
$14 adults entrance fee. Can't get in without fee.
Picnic Heaven!
Whole park is open. No visible damage from the hurricane.
They have events when you can bring pets. Other than those specific events....no pets.
No. Bok tower is a first class establishment.
I should be available. However I suggest calling Bok Tower and speak with a employee to verify the options available.
A cording to thier lit it's the highest point in Florida. Any one can view the tower from the gardens, but you need to be a member to be invited inside. See their website.
The national park senior pass will not work.
Adult admission is 14.00 just for the gardens and 20.00 for gardens and tour of Pinewood Estates.
