Iβm from Charlotte, NC and we were vacationing in Florida for about 2 1/2 weeks. This park was one of our stops. First; the attendant at the front gate made an absolute amazing first impression. (The gentleman had blonde shoulder length hair I donβt recall his name) We didnβt know we had to pay to enter and we had to sit and scrounge around for enough to enter the park. The cost is $5 per car (it was this price July 2022) He was soooo nice and told us where we could go fishing. Even driving away from the gate as we were entering my husband and I spoke about how kind and helpful he was. *Whomever you are Thank you for your amazing hospitality you made us feel welcome!!!* With that being said, the park is absolutely gorgeous!!!! There are areas to fish annnd there are Alligators π!!!! One behind the βcracker shackβ specifically is large!! I got pictures of him they are on my review. I saw 4 gators while I was there and got pictures of them all. The trees are absolutely amazing!! So many shaded areas to sit and relax. I saw an area set up to play horseshoes, an area for volleyball, zip lining, and even a slip on the dock behind the cracker shack (concession stand) for handicap individuals to be able to get in and out of kayaks and/or canoes. I saw Tons of fish here but I only actually caught one baby fish!! π Regardless of my inability to catch anything I had an amazing time. If youβre considering visiting this park you definitely should!!

Great adventure. The restrooms were well clean and stocked. Shower was nice. Campsites,,, some are smaller than others. The one I had was large. Great week of camping π and fun fishing. Currently, they are dredging and the water level is real low.

We camped here in a travel trailer. The campgrounds weren't even half full and I don't know why. It is a beautiful park. So peaceful. Super clean facilities. Wide large sites. Hosts were so kind and friendly. We wished we had more time here as we would have liked to kayak.

Sweet place to camp. Quite nice sites only. Fun Amenities lacking. Was upset that the cowtown/1870s area was closed. Come on we pay for our parks open them up. Also the observation tower was in disarray. 1/2 open top tape/ boarded up. There not much too do. The wildlife was nuts. Coons armadillos deer everywhere. Coons could care less about you they were on the ground table truck under the chairs we were sitting in. Just cool. If you go take a boat nice ramp and area too fish but other then that there is nothing to do. We will always return too camp. Beautiful site's

Not at the moment. We are still drying up in places from rains this summer. The weather is finally cooling off a bit. There are certain times during the year when there may be a ban. It just depends upon season and rainfall amounts.
Yes
There is a washer and dryer area attached to each bath house. One for each loop. They take quarters.
You can fish on the sides of the cannal that cuts through park, as well as the boat dock, and dam. Mainly catch Brim, Bass, and occasionally Catfish.
I don't think so. All parks are closed for the week.
No ATV trails, however many people bring golf carts with them when they camp here. You can't take them off the paved areas though.
There where RVs and tents and the overlanding not really sure but there are no hook ups just water and electric
Yep but watch for gators. Had a decent size one decide he/she didn't want me fishing right there. Had move down the way a few feet.
3pm check in and 1pm check out.
There are near the Marina & Camp store.
4 miles
It's to my understanding that ALL federal and state park's are closing/closed for containment until further notice.
They do have a "primitive spot". It does have restrooms and showers that they rent to groups. But I believe it's only for tents.
Beautiful and peaceful place.
People use golf carts in there
I don't believe there is a change. Believe it is 25.00 a night year round. But give them a call. It is a great place to stay.
It depends on your site ,some have low branches. You can look at your site online. It's a beautiful park!
Saturday and Sunday 9:30-4:30
As stated there is a cow camp. Small but authentic.
Nope. There is a limit on how many days you can stay.
Yes you can camp more than one night.
I don't think so. I know you can rent a boat though.
As of right now we do not rent canoes. We have a new cossesionar coming in soon who may rent canoes. When that happens, they will have the say so on whether or not you can take your animal with you or not. If you are using your own canoe you can do what you like. However, we have alligators and lots of them. They will take a small animal if the opportunity is there. So, be careful if you decide to do it. Pets are part of our families and I'm sure they would enjoy a boat ride just as much as we do. Have a great day. John Smith III, Ranger Lake Kissimmee State Park
Probably best to call the park for availability
No lodge
It's $5 per car limit of 2-8 people per car. If you walk or ride a bike in it's $2 per person.
