Just asked. Dogs are allowed for a $5 gate fee. This changed in August.
Pet Policy We are dog friendly. Dog admission is $5 (dog admission is free for members at the family level membership or higher). All dogs must be dog-friendly, adult friendly and child friendly. All dogs must be on a 6-foot or shorter leash and retractable leashes are not permitted. Dogs may not be left unattended
The garden is pretty friendly in most areas. Dogs are not allowed to go into any of the buildings but everything outside is ok. There is a $5 pet fee for non-members.

I believe pets are welcome there's a pet fee at the gate
Pets are not allowed in the gardens. But there is a kennel available on site with shade and water.
