Family run theme park that has something for everyone.
Silverwood is a fantastic theme park that is truly run with passion and quality experiences for guests. For a relatively small, less known theme park I was really impressed and had a blast. The coasters are good fun (Aftershock is epic); actors and train ride is a good time for all; magic show (Nick and Mad Mike especially) is a great way to break up the adrenaline fuelled fun; and the park’s theme and environment is genuinely beautiful and well maintained.
Great place for a family, thrill seeking adults like myself and anyone who wants to escape for a fun adventure in Idaho.
Yeehaw Silverwood!

This family owned theme park has something for everyone! (And we didn't even make it to the water park!)
Our family group included ages 0 to 60, some much slower than others, but everyone had a blast...with exception of the infant who was too young to be aware of anything.
From wild coasters to milder log ride and children's rides; from a very enjoyable scenic train ride to comedy shows, this amazing park has got you covered.
You'll also find reasonably priced food and drink options.
Many of the attractions are handicap accessible and employees go the extra mile to help you learn the ropes and avoid long lines. (Just pick up a courtesy pass at the information booth when you enter the park).
Silverwood has a great website with helpful tips to make your visit the best! Check it out if you haven't already.

We had the best time here! The rides were a blast, and all the staff were so kind and helpful. They also did a great job of checking seatbelts and bars and being vigilant about safety. The park grounds, rides, and bathrooms were also clean. Fun things to do from tots on up. The magic show was recommended, and it didn't disappoint. We can't wait to come back!

Silverwood is the greatest. I have been going since I was a kid and it still is great. The rides aren’t too intense but they give just enough adrenaline that you get the rollercoaster high. Boulder beach has really expanded in recent years and is so fun.
I love the classic old time feeling that silverwood has. It has kept its charm and I hope that never changes. The new stunt pilot ride is a lot of fun but I am partial to the wooden roller coasters.
I can promise you will have fun at this park. It is more than enjoyable. The staff told me the last time I was there that the best time to go is a couple days after the Fourth of July. It is always their slowest days of the year because everyone has to get back to work.
If you are considering it, I recommend going for it. You won’t regret it!
Yup $5 and my mother was even able to go back to the motel and come back without paying again. Just showed her receipt for parking from earlier that day.
Bring water. If you bring one of those big trucker cups you can get it filled with soda for $1 instead of buying a $10 soda. There is a ice cream shop in the middle of the park that sells like a 4 scoop ice cream for $5 but its more like 12 scoops it is big enough for our family of 5 to share!!! Have fun!!! Bring walking shoes and leave everything at home or get a locker. A lot of people bring wagons or strollers to carry clothes and towels and drinks in. If you are bigger you won't fit on any of the rides :-(
If u already purchesed tickets on line for a certian weekend, can u change the tickets to another date thats a week later.?

Hi Jeremy, Our General Admission tickets are valid for any day that Silverwood is open. If you were to purchase a ticket with a group for a specific day, you will need to contact your group representative.
We were there last Wednesday, July 22nd. They are open and everything is working normal. There was not a lot o people when we were there. No masks are required, but social distancing, washing hands are strongly encouraged...they have hand sanitizer stations all over the place, and every single attraction is cleaned up by the park crew after being used by the public.
Depends on when and how long you're going

You can use it opening weekend of Silverwood for a discount, but you wont be able to get in free. And it is opening weekend only. Not sure about getting discounts for two friends with it.
Season Pass Discount - All Silverwood season pass holders receive a discount of $10 off the gate price when they show their season pass at the gate. Offer only valid during the Opening Weekend of Scarywood (Oct 3, 4 & 5).
If it's during the week it's not very crowded but it's usually a bit packed during the weekend especially during the summer, and yes it does get chilly :)
It used to not be allowed. However the last several times we have brought coolers full of lunch items (sandwiches, fruit snacks, etc). They had no problems with it (as long as no open water bottles)
If you look them up on Google when you pull up Silverwood if you slide it over you'll see a demographic of what times they are busier than others hope that helps.
As far as i know silverwood does allow outside drinks as long as they are sealed when you enter the park. They will check when you arrive :) just no alcohol
If you purchased tickets for 2019 when the pandemic started an your office rolled over the tickets for 2020 an my husband an I work in medical field an grocery retail have had no time to play so how do we get the refund for that year of purchase?
They do have a place where you can take cash and put it on a wristband and use that throughout the park so it's either cash or cards if you go to the information booth they can give you a wristband that you can use the same as a card with your cash you just put an amount on it we put $50 on ours and it was enough for what we did for the day.
Our family is vaccinated so it wasn't a huge concern. Hand sanitizer was available, but at this point, social distancing is something that most people are forgetting about, and only a few people in the park wearing a mask.
I agree with calling, and doing some googling. I think it's definitely getting busier and busier with summer going right along. People are ready to get out and do something. 2nd to last week in June, we were waiting about 45 min- 1 hour for roller coasters and Thunder canyon. Stunt pilot was the fasting moving line we went on and that was not even 10 min.
Hard to say how busy it will be, just due to everyone not having a summer last year.
Definitely make reservations in advance for staying. Hotels are spendy in the area and I imagine all book fast.
All in all it's fun!
Good luck, have fun!
I've never heard of that place but did see a (retired?) runway from the top of one of the rides.
Is it still opened ?

Not during winter. But it should be open during the warm season.
Will you be open in 2021 due to the virus problem?

The plan that was covered during the 2020 season was that we will be open, but if we go to red or orange it is most likely that it won't be open. And if we are in yellow or green we probably will be open. That's just something that we all have to track.
Bring your own..find a spot back toward the back of the park. No body really bothers your stuff. Lockers are over rated unless you have too fancy stuff you need at a water park for some reason.
Agreed. Silverwood has a very generous policy allowing you to bring a 12x12x12 soft sided cooler in with you. Bring drinks or snacks, even a lunch. That saved us enough to splurge on additional souvenirs, ice cream and other fun stuff.
Will all the rides be open if you come early in 2020

Most rides should be open. There is currently a section of the water park that is closed, but I believe it will open soon. However, all rides are taking some precautions for bearers, and the park will not sell tickets at the gate. They must be purchased a head of time.
Yes, because it's already open! I went there last Saturday it was great, the lines are pretty long because they have to clean the rides every time they use them but they're efficient. It's pretty much the same other than that. Have fun!
Yes you can bring foods. You can bring an empty water bottle (that you can then fill at the water fountains or at ask the people at the restaurants) and you can bring foods. It says their food policys on the website. I bring my lunch there when I go.
You can rent them at the information center. It only takes a few minutes.
The park has a nicely thought out 10 page document on their website all about accessibility. If you go to the website and scroll to the bottom, you will find it in a blue section under "park information". It tells all about how the park has planned for people with mobility issues.
Yes ! Highly recommended for water rides or else you end up with wet shoes the rest of the day! Or bring a garbage bag for your shoes and belongings... Worst cast stand in the bathroom for an hour at the hand dryer...
This park is usually busy when the weather is nice, especially the water park, but as a place to have fun you really cannot beat the quality of Silverwood!
RV Sites:
Allow 8 people per site
May place 1 tent up to 10'X12' size on the gravel pad only. No tents on the grass
No tents, canopies, etc are allowed on the grass
Additional vehicles or trailers of any kind must be pre-approved by the Camp Host or the RV Park Office. Additional parking is available for $5 in Silverwood’s main parking lot.
Fire Rings and Wi-Fi are included in the price of the site
I dont think there's a weight limit, however they will not let you ride any of the rides if they can't buckle you or strap you in. I would say anyone more than 250 pounds is going to have a hard time with that depending on how their weight is distributed. The most likely ride you can get on is going to be the log ride or maybe the rafting one. The log ride you dont have to strap in, you just have to be able to get in and out of the logs. And the rafting one the straps are kinda like old school seat belts.
In regards to going to Silverwood. And times when it is better to go. I would say go early stay l8te. The lines when I have gone (are not) like Disney Land or disney world. Your average wait time is gonna be about 20-40 min's on a Uber heavy days. I would say just have fun being with you and your family. Have a nice Microbrew in between if it's hot go on the river ride a few times and get wet. However Monday yes would be awesome time to hit the park in general. However if you have 50 other families that think the same..Well then you have cause and effect.
For 3 years of age, I would recommend the Garfield Summer Camp area. Great fun for kiddos. There is also a kids wet area on the north east side of Boulder Beach past the last wave pool. The lazy river is great as well!
$42 for adults (8-64) if you buy online on their website $24 for kids and seniors (3-7 / 65+ )
Prices at gate vary depending on the time of year or event such as scarywood
10, occasionally you may run into someone who is a little stressed, but the staff really do work at having a positive attitude, and making a truly memorable ( in the good way) experience for the entire family.
I am going to be staying at the RV Park, while there and know they sell tickets at a discount, but wondering where is the best discount to by family tickets?

We buy passes every year they are 100.00 a piece or so. Depending on your length of stay it may be worth it.
We just left today after a 3 day trip and I didn't see anything about a birthday discount.. and yes yellow jackets are very bad this year couldn't eat anything with out them swarming you but other then that we all a blast .. both big water slides got closed do to someone get hurt bad
Admission covers everything, all rides, waterpark, and even the magic show. You only need pay for food, games, and towels at water park unless you bring your own
If you want Halloween scary it is the park only side but scary. That is October. My family goes for the weekend of father's day. It's al open, not overly crowded
Like the first person said you can bring food but not into the main park.they do have picnic tables around the area of bag check that you can use. But you can bring drinks in only if they haven't been open before bag check. I have worked there .just no alcohol. Can be brought. In
There is a chuck wagon all you can eat place. I think the menu varies. When we were there last weekend it was chicken, hot dogs, and pulled pork. Mac and cheese, coleslaw, green salad, rolls and some other sides for $12.99 a person. It was pretty good.
Yes! I lost mine as well, and didn't realize I didn't have it until we were parking. I told the parking attendant and she was able to look up my name so parking was still free. I went to the same place I got the original pass issued and they printed me up a new one right away!
