Always a pleasure renting a car at Newark, it's so easy to get to the car rentals the air-tran goes straight there, the easiest airport car rental experience I've had.

Excellent

We have now rented a car twice from Hertz at the airport, both times it went smoothly. It went very quickly and no one tried to sell us more insurance. We've had a very different experience.

Totally rude and obnoxious. Manager told me due to the misprint of my last name on credit card. They cannot rent it out to me unless I had another card. Well I had to spend total of back and forth with Uber and they refused my credit card again stating they do not accept debit cards from the tri state. The refuse to listen to my bank CHASE apologizing their mistake and assured them it’s me and asked them to call them back to verify it was CHASE. So I got stranded for this weekend on my birthday. Any company in the country would have the courtesy to help. But as their customer service bases, they really are atrocious and despicable leaving people stranded. And they claim they have the number one service let them for you please they may have a good cars but you know what we need to Corus if you have poor quality service from human beings.

Air train access is there for all to all terminals. Train runs every 3 or 4min. No red carpet for president's circle. ;)
Yes, you can either walk in or reserve online.
No cash and for debit you have to have an incoming and returning flight plus 500 dollar deposit
Air train to P3 terminal if you are at EWR Airport.
Train/Tram to terminal...free on upper level
Depends on the type of car and when you rent. Check online for current pricing.
Yes. But if you are not a gold member it might cost extra.
I only had carry on luggage. I don’t remember. You have to take a shuttle to the rental cars.
Yes, they will let you pick a different drop off location than your pickup location. Make sure you set up your reservation accordingly.
I think that it is possible.
Hertz in Newark airport is open 24 hours. Go to the counter to get your receipt. Leave the keys. The airport has a monorail called the Airtrain which will take you to terminal C
No Nancy. This is inside Newark airport. You can park at the terminals or economy parking and get free bus back to terminals.
Hertz is open 24 hours at Newark airport. The airport has a monorail called the Air train which takes you from your terminal to station P3 for rental cars where Hertz is located
They should all be the same company call thrifty or dollar and they should be able to help
Not that I know of. I guess one reason why their review is less than 4 stars
Depends on the day.. the best thing is to go on hertz website.
Yes
Just advise the agent when picking up the car. Done it many times. No problem.
Take the airtrain to the P3 stop. Hertz is right near the ground floor exit from the station.
Just change your reservation online.
Age restrictions aside, from my most recent experience at the Hertz at Newark Airport, they will not take a debit card without a boarding pass with dates that are coinciding with the dates you need the rental. There is no exception. If you don't have a boarding pass I would suggest dollar thrifty you just need to order it 24 hours in advance to use a debit card. If you do have a boarding pass, the only thing I believe they may do is charge you extra depending on the car they give you. I have a MD driver's license and use a credit card at Hertz because of their strict debit card policy. Safe travels!
Yes.. Have chattels
Yep, park at their return area, grab your stuff and go.
Hertz charges tolls back to you plus a fee for using the service.
Yes, I believe so.
Park across the street at the gas station in the airport and walk through the exit to get to the Hertz service desk.
75 usd
Call Hertz.
They accept debit cards.
Yes you can return anywhere but additional charges will be incurred.
English?
Short walk to the Hertz facility from the AirTrain station
Just outside the door
You need a valid credit card and I'd that have the same name...
Not worth it. You wont make enough money to cover gas and the rental
I am presuming you are asking about a rental that did not start at Newark. In that case, 'it depends'. Your contract rate may or may not include a one-way drop without fees. Too many variables to discuss here. As suggested by someone else already, best thing to do is call the Hertz 800 number and ask them.
I have not had a problem so far, normally the privilege applies from next lease after becoming Gold member.
My experience with Hertz could not be any better. They were great. I used the app and it was seamless. I rented at the Newark Airport. You don't even have to talk to anyone. Just go to the grade of car you rented and pick a car. The keys are in it. You check out at the gate and drive away.
I am not sure I think you have go to terminal.
The AirTrain at the airport takes you to p 4
When you get to the airport just follow the signs to Car Rental. Hertz is right there by the stoplight in front of the gas station. Once you get there to drop the vehicle off just ask someone if it's possible for them to transfer you to the terminal
Ya its better if you check with airline. They have wheelchair assistances which will help you to reach the location. Its internally connected so you should be good there.
Use Airtrain > its free, no need for ride back.
Take Airtrain from Car rental return to the Terminal. It is a free service
They'll bill you for the cost of the tolls plus the daily cost of their Plate Pass service.
They have a lot of 4 wheel drive cars and trucks. Its best to call ahead to make sure one is available when you need it.
You have to take the air train to hertz but it is possible for someone to drive you back to the terminals upon return.
You can use the Google Maps you are in to find the location.
Francis Cheng there is no need to worry Hertz has all weather tires on their vehicles.
