It was a fun day trip with the kids didn't take us long to see everything price was high in my opinion and it didn't include the train ride that was extra alot of the trains were still original so they are dusty. the inside were the trains were is amazing to see .parking was free and off street definitely a must for a family trip to Baltimore also bathrooms are all genders I personally didn't feel ok with that and wouldn't let my kids use the restrooms by them self

Great experience. We took our 18-month old here and he loved it too.

Yes it was open dur the government shutdown.
There's a fantastic HO scale layout in a baggage or passenger car. It is automated and an excellent example of a well designed display layout.
They have a parking lot but it's small and it fills up very quickly. Unless you show up right when they open, or get very lucky, you'll need to find street parking nearby. Fortunately, we've always been able to find street parking within a couple blocks of the museum.
Call ahead and see what their schedule is for that weekend
I think the layout is HO scale, it's in one of the rail cars outside
There's a G scale layout outside, an HO one in a train car and they have train shows & guest RR. clubs around Christmas.
Everything with their hands.
Go to any of the downtown hotel's. The town is well worth every penny
No.
Check the hours first. Google shows it's closed Monday through Thursday. But 2 hours at least. If you do one of the train rides they have, more like 3 hours then. Enjoy!
Not easy to locate for sure. "Your TicketWeb Tickets for Order# Have Arrived!"
They only have one mile of track. It is on the original roadbed from 1830
There is an Afghan place in downtown near Lord Baltimore hotel that we tried, Maiwand Grill. Give it a try.
Yes, I'd definitely recommend getting tickets in advance
The train ride wasn't open the day I went.
I'd call the museum shop and ask.
Adults - $20, Seniors (60+) - $17, Students (18+) - $15, Children (2 -12) - $12
It goes about one mile down the track and back. About 20 minutes.
Google their website
We just went last week and we bought our tickets at the door, upon arrival.
Yes, but it's not great quality for the food they serve. I think the restaurant may only have hot foods on the weekend. Honestly, it'd be better if they just had a couple food trucks come.
They have day out with Thomas on surrten days
There is a Train were Patente and Childrens can ride, a Model train
Yes, there's free parking on site
No, I didn't see anywhere. You need to check at the entry desk.
Gift shop is located before you have to pay. It's absolutely 100% worth going to the museum and spending the day there, however. This is a must-see museum!!!
Just 15 minutes out then back it tells about the history of the B&O so like 30 minutes altogether its nice
Toddler time is included with your admission to the B&O museum. It typically includes a craft, a story, and an opportunity to play with train related toys.
