Absolutely beautiful! There were so many flowers that I've never seen before. The troll sculptures are really amazing. There's a free shuttle that takes you around the park if you get tired of walking. This is truly a magical place.

Beautiful! The gardens were much larger than I anticipated and we only saw about 60% of the place during our 2 hours there. Some sections can be a long walk, but this is aided by frequent shuttles than can take you to the primary sites (and troll locations!). It was very busy and you may have to wait for another shuttle to come by at times, but most areas have plenty to enjoy while you wait. It's worth your time and money if you enjoy the outdoors and seeing beautiful/interesting plants - I've got some unique additions I plan to put in around our house now! If you're into the butterflies and moths, call ahead to see if the center is open. It was not ready when we went on 5/29.

Absolutely beautiful! Great for all ages! My son and I spent four hours here and can't wait to come back! Highly recommend bug spray and sunscreen! Cafe food is pricey so better off packing your own. Overall it was a great experience!

Beautiful garden and the troll exhibit adds the fun, wow factor!!! Also, they offer a free shuttle to get you close to trolls, so that is a wonderful perk. Smooth paths for the most part! Cute kids area with activities! Definitely worth a visit!

I agree with about 4 hours. There is lots to see and it is a sprawling garden. Lots of walking involved. There are also many places to sit and just enjoy your surroundings. There is a little cafe for a quick bite. The gift shop is also very lovely and its easy to spend at least a half hour in there too.
Yes! It's a drive through only event currently but it's fantastic
Early June is the best time to see them flowered. We were there on June 7 and some had already gone by
The lupines SHOULD be in bloom then but you'd do well to call the gardens before you come to prevent disappointment.
There are shuttles that can take you to different areas of the garden. They travel on a regular route so you can easily see different sections and return to the main area. There are also notarized carts for individuals available but must be reserved by calling ahead.
That's what they recommend, but as long as they're not sold out tickets are also available at door.
Sheryl Salerno,I believe it opens around May 1st until mid October.
They have shuttle busses, but there are trails you go on. Not sure a wheelchair would do it, sorry.
Yes. Currently the garden is closed. But the drive through light show starts soon. Check the website for dates.
Have to believe you would walk. Most of the garden paths cannot accommodate vehicles. We saw them putting up the lights a month ago and they were nowhere near any kind of vehicular road, nor are the gnomes close to any road.
Yes, until 5 pm
$22 for adults $18 for seniors $10 kids 3 to 17 Under 3 is free Family package $55 - 2 adults, 2 kids Advance tickets are required and can be purchased on their site. They are open 9 to 5 daily, rain or shine
Reservations are encouraged. I'd recommend making one now so you can be sure to get the time slot that works best for you.
I attended Saturday May 29th. We had to reserve our spot advance and then check in. No one in our group was asked to mask.
Yes
I'd also like to know because I am a member of the desert botanical garden in Phoenix as well thx
When we were there 3 weeks ago we had lunch there, I don't see why you can't come and go as you please. You have to go on line and currently scheduled a time to enter the garden. It's beautiful and well done. Have fun and enjoy. Cheers Andy
Yes
My guess would be winter time, thousands of cars with 2 to 5 people per car . . . at $9 to $16 each person. . . to walk through all the Christmas lights! BTW, local restaurants are remaining open to serve all these visitors! Big Deal in Booth Bay now !
It takes a couple of hours to enjoy them properly, but they are usually open until 9 and they won't put you out early if you have a ticket for early. I think it is worth the trip!

Here is the link to their employment page, perhaps you could start there to find a contact. http://www.mainegardens.org/team/employment/
They actually have electric riders you can use just like the ones at the grocery stores.
Not sure. We didn't go to that cafe. You will enjoy the gardens!
Absolutely, the children's section at this garden is outstanding.
Call the gardens directly and ask a specialist there your question.
I f this club is through the Botanical Gardens, I suggest you contact them directly. They would be better able to help you in any case.
Best to just call them and get info.
Yes!
Look on their website. Here is the link http://www.mainegardens.org/
Not sure but didn't see any there and the place was mobbed
Yes you can.
For members free For adults $ 16 For seniors $ 14 For children 3 to 17 $ 8 Children under 3 free
Yes and no they have carts for visitors just call to reserve them the down fall is there are spots to where the handicapped can not go but you have access to see and do they are open year round.
Yes Doris. They are digging up all over the place and have started to wrap some of the trees with Christmas lights. Most of the flowers have died or gone by at this point. We were very disappointed for the price this time of year.
I saw power scooters like you see at the grocery store lined up behind the visitor center.
i think they sell walking canes in the gift shop, but no they dont have walkers or wheel chairs. there are many resting benches along the paths if that helps, and they are never packed.
Opens at 9am every day. All this and more can be found by Googleing Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.
It looks like a 2 hours 40 minute drive for you. Admission is $16 for adults, $8 for children 3-17 and $14 for seniors. Don't forget to bring sunscreen and bug spray! (But don't let the bugs deter you, it's an amazing place.)
Yes indeed - they have a restaurant and a snack bar as well. The restaurant has limited hours so make sure to plan accordingly.
Memorial Day Weekend. Free to all Maine residents
It might be a little early for the blooming
A lot of tulips are in bloom and the rhododendrons should be ready about the weekend you are planning on staying. It depends on what you're looking for, you'll be able to see a lot of stuff coming to life and be able to enjoy a scenic view of the Maine coast.
New visitor center and gift shop is open. Tulips were in bloom in May.
yes I would, it's so beautiful, but if it's cold like it's been very hard to enjoy it
They have meals. A bit pricy but not bad. The salmon was 17$ soup and a sandwich was 14$
People were using both while we were there. They do a fabulous job making sure everything remains accessible. To reserve a scooter, call ahead. Wheelchairs are available as well. If you have your own, I'd say you're good to go have an amazing night!
It makes the whole process go much smoother if you do, however its technically not necessary.
Memorial day weekend free for all Mainers. Mother's Day free for mothers.
