After many years we decided to return to Shore Hills for an extended weekend. Our site (133) was deep enough for our 40ft 5th wheel plus truck parking. Staff friendly and helpful. Loved the duck pond. Wish the shuttle service to the harbor center had more runs. Taxi service is hit or miss. We drove to Damariscotta a few times, had dinner at the River Grill— highly recommend and they take reservations. Glad we came back.

Not dog friendly. We have a Labradoodle and an American Staffordshire Terrier that is a sweet heart and we were told they wouldn't accept us because he is a pit bull. Why is it that for almost 30 nights no other campground gave us an issue? Sad to see stereotyping being done about dogs. Any human that has 0 ability to logically understand dogs and different temperaments is not a place for us.

Quiet. Easy access to harbor for shopping and restaurants. When you first pull in to the park there is no real place to park the RV to check in to the office. Same with leaving, outgoing campers do not have a pull off spot, end up blocking the exit. The people in the office are not helpful, get short when asked questions. Our travel companions lost power due to the campsite 30 amp breaker blowing. Good thing he had backup connector. The office was going to call electrician. We left without seeing said electrician. Will not go back.

The park is beautifully landscaped. Our site was large and fairly level. We had a small wooden deck with picnic table and covered trash can for pick up. The lots are nicely kept with manicured grass. The major problem here is the sewage connection is located on an incline going up a hill. We’ll you’re essentially fighting gravity so keeping a short hose and getting close as you can might help that. Our neighbors go there very often and never use the sewage due to this issue. There is so much green space to walk and play with your pup. There’s an average sized fenced in area you could use and it’s shaded. It’s very quiet AND you must go to the bay located at the far end of the park. Beautiful sunsets and clamming at low tide. Didn’t use the bathrooms but laundry room is clean. Close by to shops and restaurants, and whale watching tours. My husband and I actually thought Boothbay is prettier and more scenic than Bar Harbor. ENJOY!

There is Wifi and comes in quite well, and they have more than one antennae set up around the CG. The Full hook ups all have cable also. Great CG!!
NO! . Narrow and a lot of traffic. Very little shoulder.
I would not recommend it. Shore Hills has a van that takes people from campground to Boothbay Harbor and back. There is a small fee but not sure how much.
Yes
Yes they do in specific sites. They have some up by the farm pond. We stayed down by the river. Quieter & a better view
32 tent to 55 for hook up check website
The sites for just tents are some of the nicest because they don't need sewer.
It depends. If a reservation, All depends if the reserved site has emptied out and they've cleaning it up. If just dropping in, same applies or 1000/1100 ish. They have always been flexible and accommodating for us but we almost always arrive mis afternoon. Great campground. Been going there for 16 years.
Just under 3 hours about 130 miles. There are heavily congested sections going through some of the towns so that takes up the time. The scenery and interesting shops and sites makes up for it. Freeport is on the way, home of 'LL Bean. But also in Freeport is the Harraseeket Inn. They have a wonderful breakfast buffet every morning and a lunch buffet in their quaint tavern. Lovely grounds, worth a stop going by or while camping. It's about 40 minutes from the Shore Hills campground.
They have cabins that are very cute and cozy. The campground is beautiful and there is a shuttle to town center
