Moved in about a month ago. Trains can be bit annoying, but you get used to it. Great location and amenities for price.

The building is built terribly, and has cracks in the floors and floorboards. i constantly deal with bugs crawling from the cracks and under neath the front door because its not placed properly. my drainage is TERRIBLE and the sink and tubs clog regularly. i pay far too much in rent to deal with these issues and i wish i would've been advised before i signed a 13 month lease.i also had my car towed although i registered it with the leasing office because the tag fell out of my windshield and had to pay $150 to get it back. I asked Keith, the office manager, if i would be refunded and was advised i wouldn't.

Fun and cool place on the edge of a great neighborhood. Appliances are nice enough and rent is reasonable considering location and what you get. Train noise could be an issue for light sleepers but other than that I'm enjoying my flat. I've met a lot of cool people and dogs here!

Questions & Answers

Can anyone comment on the train track sounds at this location?

Very loud. Since moving in trains have started coming through at Midnight and 3am almost daily and they signal both at Llewellyn and Granby. I've purchased soundproof curtains as well as a white noise machine and it still wakes me up. The flats themselves are great, but I won't be renewing my lease because of the trains.

How loud are these apartments? Obviously you are next to train tracks so the train can be loud from time to time... but what about adjacent apartments? Can you make out words and conversations, muffled sounds, or just the occasional moving noises?

It depends which part of the complex you are in. I can hear everything, including conversations, from the apartments below and next to mine. I'm on the top floor, so at least I don't have to hear what's going on above me... It gets very loud.

What's the quality of life like if you have a dog?

It depends on what kind of dog you have - if it's a smaller, older dog that doesn't need a lot of exercise, you should be okay. Generally speaking though, there isn't a lot of space for dogs (in the flats or outside). The area is walkable (sidewalks, etc.), but there isn't a ton of grass. We have had consistent issues with people not picking up after their dogs which makes taking your pet in the few grassy (messy) areas a real nuisance.
